I agree that Em should leave while he’s still relevent. Nothing worse than a celebrity that keeps popping up because he was the shit 30 years for something that was mildly good. But I don’t think Em will ever be pushed out of the game but I strongly believe that if he ever decides to officially leave, it will take his real diehard stans (myself included) a great deal of time to adjust, accept, and find another rapper that is decent enough to fill Em’s place.
Although to be honest, I doubt Em will ever really retire. You don’t retire from what you really, truly love. I know that a lot of rappers talk about retiring because no one wants to hear their grandpa but come on. If country, rock, pop, and jazz can artists that stick around for years, why can’t rap? You veterans to maintain the standards. If all the veterans decide to hang up the mic then you’ll just have a Wild West effect with the new class which would essentially cause a re-write of what is hip-hop because such anarchy would bring the genre back to its infancy. Eminem’s last album is Recovery. His story is over, there’s nothing left for him to rap about and he has accomplished what he came here for. See, Marshall’s life is not grim and dark as it used to be. There’s no drama in his life now. He might come back when something happens and I believe that the only reason he came back to the game was because of Encore. He just couldn’t let that album be his last work. So he came back with Relapse, and it was also not up to the mark. But this year he won with Recovery. Plus he mentioned that he’s done with rap, both on Relapse and Recovery</i. The most important thing is Recovery's cover. Yes! him walking away.

Maybe the younger generation will think it’s shit. But he’s got a lage fan base (us Stans) that will love him forever and will ALWAYS buy his records, even if they not great. Eminem has fans of all races because he raps about family problems, personal problems and things like that that everybody can relate to. He voices opinions on things most other people don’t and because of that many listen to him. People buy his music because he does his own thing…now Lil Wayne is one of the best in my opinion…but people buy his music not because he’s black, but because he has lyrics that many think are clever.
Eminem gives you something that most other rappers don’t, its not his skin color (While that definitely has something to do with it) but he also has the skill level to back it up. If you ask 99% of black rappers, they will say Eminem is one of the best if not THE best. He’s unique, and because of the hardships he raps about, he’s a GLOBAL superstar, which makes him more popular than almost any other rapper.

I mean personally I don’t want to hear some guy ranting about how much money he makes and how many ho’s he’s banged (not saying that’s all black rap is, there are some black rappers that are probably more skilled than Eminem though I don’t know if their lyrics are quite as good).
Eminem doesn’t make party songs. I mean it’s really easy to understand where he’s coming from with songs like Space Bound. Most of us have felt similar at points in our lives.
