Here’s a snapshot of Russell Simmons’ apartment perched near Ground Zero. In his windows are images of religious symbols that spell out C-O-E-X-I-S-T. There’s been much controversy surrounding the erection of a mosque two blocks away. Rush told the NY Daily News that he wants the message to unite instead of divide.
“I hope some yogi sees om. I hope that some Christian sees the cross. I hope that some Jewish person sees Star of David. I want people to see their images. That’s the idea to coexist and to learn to love each other. I’m appalled that there’s even a dialogue about it…Roughly two billion muslims in the world did not attack us. Though America is considered “the melting pot” people have to understand that ground zero has turned into sacred ground since that tragedy which happened nearly 9 years ago. So out of respect for people who lost their lives and relatives that site for a mosque just isn’t very appropriate. Im all for diversity and acceptance but some things you just have to take a loss on.

I dont even see the big deal, Its not like them Muslims were the ones who crashed the planes,They aint Al Queda or Talibans, and the building Is gonna be an open facility for anyone who wants to go in.
