Russell Simmons Supports NY Mosque
Wednesday, August 25 2010 6:32 PM EST | Posted by: B.Dot | Posted in: Blog, Newsstand StanHere’s a snapshot of Russell Simmons’ apartment perched near Ground Zero. In his windows are images of religious symbols that spell out C-O-E-X-I-S-T. There’s been much controversy surrounding the erection of a mosque two blocks away. Rush told the NY Daily News that he wants the message to unite instead of divide.
“I hope some yogi sees om. I hope that some Christian sees the cross. I hope that some Jewish person sees Star of David. I want people to see their images. That’s the idea to coexist and to learn to love each other. I’m appalled that there’s even a dialogue about it…Roughly two billion muslims in the world did not attack us. America is using the mosque and Ground Zero as a mask for its own Islamophia.”

Wiz Khalifa On Declining Rick Ross’ Deal
Wednesday, August 25 2010 3:12 PM EST | Posted by: Big Homie | Posted in: Blog, Newsstand Stan
Last month, Rick Ross wanted Wiz on his Maybach Music roster. Although Atlantic beat Rozay to the punch, the Pittsburgh spitta tells VIBE, he would’ve declined Ross’ offer anyways.
“When I woke up and went to Twitter I saw a bunch of people talking about it and was like ‘What the hell?’ So I went on the blogs and saw his [video]. Then Ross ended up calling me [the same day] to say it himself. I would’ve kept doing what I was doing till I found something huge [outside of Maybach Music]. I’m all about standing behind my own brand instead of putting myself up under somebody else’s. [Success] might take a little bit longer and take more work, but in the end it pays off because I can stand right up there with my peers and have respect.”

Bruno Mars On Creating Cee-Lo’s “Fuck You”
Wednesday, August 25 2010 3:00 PM EST | Posted by: Big Homie | Posted in: Blog, FocusIt seems as if Cee-Lo’s new track is everyone’s favorite sing-a-long. So much so, that even Curtis wanted in. Bruno Mars, the man behind the boards, talked to 1515 about his studio session with Mr. Green.
“Talk about the perfect marriage, we been fans of Cee-Lo for real. And we became labelmates and I was just feeding that to them, ‘We got to get in. I know he’s working on something, we got to do something.’ So he comes in the session, and it was one of the most organic sessions. We wrote a song and it’s not for radio, obviously, with the title. We’re probably gonna have to work on that. But it was a dream session come true; that was the idea collaboration. Everyone was just putting their minds together and [we came] up with one of our favorite tracks we’ve ever done.”

- You Heard That New

Man, miss me with the fake Jay and B quotes already. Headlines. Some of you sites will do anything for attention and traffic. You really believed B would speak to Star magazine? Tuck your tabloid in. And why would Hov need to write a letter to his daughter? Bitch please. He wrote a song! It's called "Glory" and it's pretty fuckin' revealing. He went on the record (double entendre) but you still don't get it. You may hear baby Blue's first cries but no you don't know her height, weight or what she looks like. And no you ain't gettin' a flick, fool. Can new parents get some privacy? Even if they are celebrities. Sheesh! Who raised you animals? Party at the 40/40. Paps outside. Rushin' the velvet rope. Don't trip over your integrity.
Put us here if you like. The RR store stays open 24/7. SOPA? Yeah we Showcase Our Product Always. And we're gonna continue straight ahead til somebody up there turns out the lights. Start from scratch? I'm not afraid.
