On August 13th at 5:10 P.M. EST, Kanye West called Swizz Beatz the best rap producer of all time. Bold statement indeed. During Swizzy’s interview with DJ Envy, he says he’s humbled by the compliment. Ye’s claim ruffled a few feathers, but it’s with merit. In case you need a reminder, The Monster got the best of Yeezy three years ago. Let them trumpets blow!

Swiizz Beatz’s marriage been good to him or maybe he finally get inducted into the illuminati or something because a few years ago nobody was even paying attention to him and his whistle, casio loop beats but now he’s considered among the best? I won’t say he’s talentless because he definitely has some classics under his belt but I think that’s more due to the talent he’s worked with than his actual production skills. He’s definitely good for a club record but I can’t imagine him producing someone’s whole album because his beats are not diverse enough but like I said if you need a very simple, whistles blaring, repetitious loop, with someone screaming silly ads libs then Swizz is your man.
On a list of Hip Hop producers Swizz might make my Top 10, and that’s a big maybe, but certainly not in the Top 5.

Swizz DOES have classics, but he’s been lazy of late. I can’t call him talentless, it’s impossible. He’s a great producer. I jus don’t think he’s the best.
if swizz the best of all time timbaland must be king producer cause we all know timbaland and swizz was the top producers back in 96 to like 2002 before niggaz was jock riding the neptunes but thats what YE thinks…but swizz is in the top 5

Nah Havoc is crazy with it and he’s very underrated but DJ Quik or Daz would have to be the most underrated. J Dilla would’ve headed that list, until he passed, then everybody started digging through his catalog and got familiar.,,,,, sadly it came too late for him to appreciate.
