LL Cool J Gets Rock-N-Roll HOF Nomination

Let’s try this again. Last year, LL was snubbed from the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame. But now, The G.O.A.T. has been nominated for a second time. Inductees will be announced in December followed by the ceremony on March 14th in NYC. Among the other nominees are The Beastie Boys, Kiss and Neil Diamond. Winners are selected by a panel of over 500 music experts.
He’ll get in this time. He has the classic rock story. Sex, drugs, hip-hop and botox. Hope he makes it. Great for the culture.
He should get in this time around as well as The Beastie Boys. Funny how we forget that at one time LL was one of the illest rappers around. He’s doing his acting thing now making money all power to him

I dont kno if this is the Beastie Boys 1st time being nominated for RRHOF but if it IS & they get inducted ima be pissed. LL had way more of an impact so if he couldnt get in 1st time & the white guys do they will have lost the teeny tiny little bit of respect I had for them.

The Rock Hall of Fame is about originality, lifestyle, attitude, consistency and success. Being black and and a fan of many rock n metal artists, Rap has always been the black heavy metal. it’s our fuck you music!! The Hall of fame was never designed to just honor rock related bands.

DO YOUR RESEARCH. VH1 HONORS WAS CREATED TO PICK UP THE MIDDLE WEIGHTS, THE ROCK HALL IS RESERVED FOR THE REAL HEAVYWEIGHTS. Keep in mind all rock hall acts can’t be considered until after there 25th year as a recording act.

Black McJagger…thank you for adding a lil more truth to this, for those who only thought The Hall of Fame was just for rock bands. Good to hear someone else understands Rock n Roll means your the best at being good even when you choose to be bad. It never had anything to do with race. Let’s not forget Prince was put in in ’04. This is a great honor, now lets hope LL actually get’s the honor. To my knowledge this is only nomination phase. Seriously…Motley Crue is more overdue than even LL, Kiss as well…so each year poses a challenge since the inductees are usually limited to with in five to ten.
