On the song “I Want To Talk To You”, Nas said he wanted to talk to the muthafuckin’ president. Well, it looks like he’s gotten a step closer. In the new issue of Rolling Stone, President Barack Obama says that he’s added Nas and Weezy to his playlist.

…Thanks to Reggie [Love, the president's personal aide], my rap palate has greatly improved. Jay-Z used to be sort of what predominated, but now I’ve got a little Nas and a little Lil Wayne and some other stuff, but I would not claim to be an expert. Malia and Sasha are now getting old enough to where they start hipping me to things. Music is still a great source of joy and occasional solace in the midst of what can be some difficult days.

LL Cool J Gets Rock-N-Roll HOF Nomination

Let’s try this again. Last year, LL was snubbed from the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame. But now, The G.O.A.T. has been nominated for a second time. Inductees will be announced in December followed by the ceremony on March 14th in NYC. Among the other nominees are The Beastie Boys, Kiss and Neil Diamond. Winners are selected by a panel of over 500 music experts.
