Got say i totally agree! Hip hop has been damaged by this type of crap! I had a massive arguement with a guy recently who tried to convince me that drummer boy was a better and more talented producer then jay dee and 9th, if that doesn say something i dont know what does. The
architects of this great sound have been forgotten and we have been left with commercial rubbish.
I got into hiphop because it was an expression and had real meaning, lyrically and sound wise unlike so much of the generic pop crap that is played out now a days. I grew up listening to her and many other greats but now i speak to kids and none of them seem to know what real hiphop is it all crap where have all the real lyricists and producers gone!!! There are still many great pioneers out there, and i thank them for the music they give us, but it is so sad to see the state of hiphop culture today
