Last week BET released their list for Top 10 Rappers Of The 21st Century, and, of course, it stirred up some controversy. One of the rappers who did not make the cut was Nelly. That Grape Juice caught up with him in London and he spoke on his omission.

First off the list was stupid but fuck Nelly and that interviewer Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer pretty much outsold ever rapper in the 90’s and nobody would put them up there with the top 10 rappers of from that decade. Fuck sales how good is your music.
Album sales were different when Nelly was big. Downloading just wasn’t as big of a problem as it is now. With that being said, I still think he should have been somewhere on that list.

The fucking list was stupid anyway cause there saying its the top 10 rappers of the 21st century as in the last 10 years and I guess there first album had to be out in the last 10 years but Em’s 1st album was out in the 90’s and so was Wayne’s so I don’t get what the fuck BET was doing but who the fuck cares about the list its just something to debate about.

I noticed a lot of DJs on the BET panel. I think they skewed towards what played well in clubs. How the hell else does Wayne get ahead of Ye?
