Joe Budden praise himself to be different and all but that’s Drake’s lane right there. with that said MM4 is a cheap shot @ So far gone and American Gangster ( without the hustling and drug traficking) that lacks the “keep me interested factor” no shots

@slowbot no they don’t sound anything like SFG. i’m not saying every track on MM4 sound like that but the whole project gives you that feel that’s all. This is just my observation, i’m not saying that Joe Budden sucks i just feel like he needs to do more to keep ppl interested in his music.

Joe Budden has been around for a long time. He’s always spit like he spit on this mixtape. This is Vol. 4 and although he’s grown as an artist, the overall feeling has been consistant. But after looking at the full body of his work there’s no way you can compare him to Drake. They’re two different animals entirely. the hook really to me sounds like the melodic stuff you would hear 50 cent or Loydd Banks do on their hooks than Drake. His lyrics are emotional and introspective throughout all of his material. He’s been going in the same direction and stayed pretty much in the same lane the whole time. He’s not influenced by Drake at all…. but I would love to hear them go line for line on a song….. I think Joe would kill him w/ the lyrics… Drake can sing better though, I’ll give him that.
