Jay-Z On The Michael Eric Dyson Show

Jay-Z continued his Decoded promo run on Michael Eric Dyson‘s radio program. He more less reiterated the spiel from previous interviews, but here’s how MED broke it down.

In this penetrating interview, Jay-Z shares insight into his childhood in Brooklyn’s Marcy Projects, past life of hustling on the streets, the often overlooked and underestimated intellectual depth and complexity of rap music, the misogynistic lyrics in some hip-hop songs, and offers thoughtful and heartfelt advice to young people who also have suffered the pain of missing the fathers in their lives.

  21. youweirdos says:

its time for the movie!!! jay!!

  22. A million things run thru my mind says:

Jay said alot of rappers who are in they 30’s still making music like their 18 and not evolving or maturing with music and the 1st person that came to my mind was 50cent. 50 making that song and video with Souljah Boy was ridiculous and i believe its going to hurt his music career furthermore. This is why i didnt cop BISD because 50 showed no growth, no maturity and no real intelligence at all. Im not hating but we the same age and as i get older and try to get money like 50 did, he gets younger and ignorant with his music but he shows maturity in some of his business ventures. How come 50 cant utilize the maturity aspect in his music.

The song he did with Jada is another example, although 50 and Jada are the same age but that song is really for ignorant fools who do not want better or they fail to realize i”m getting older but dumber also.”

Big ups to Jayz. The 1st rapper to rewrite history without a pen and that makes you the greatest man alive.

    DECODED
