There’s some songs that artists don’t need to touch even though they are already ill as fuck.
Example – “No Love” Eminem.
Dope ass production, even better lyrics from both Wayne & Em but no one needs to hop on.
Sometimes it’s best to leave well enough alone.
This beat in particular. This track just doesn’t feel the same without Ye’s flow on it. Kanye specialized this shit when he produced it because I can’t think of anyone who could kill this hoe properly enough for their voice to sound like the track was made for them and lyrically bodybag it at the same time.
I think it’s best for people to try to do tracks like “Monster”, “Devil In a New Dress” and “So Appalled”.
“Devil in a New Dress”, J.Cole murdered that shit and sounded right at home on that beat.
“Monster”, Trey Songz even wrecked that hoe with some written rhymes he conjured up, shit was definitely fresh.
Law’s failed at killing this, XV failed at killing this(nice rhymes but he’s lacking a few things on this track). Just because they failed doesn’t mean they were wack, it just means it wasn’t their best/didn’t fit them.
