Hope its dope. if not then i wasted time.

  4. Mitch 3K says:

Its sad that with all the dope white kids out there, this kid gets the attention

SMH, its like after they fucked up and let Eminem in they decided, “Okay, we didnt stop him when we had the chance, but from now on no white rappers is gettin attention unless your on some Non-Threatening, Hippy Nerd vibe and look like Screech from saved By the bell”

I could name 20 white kids doper then this without even trying

  5. hiphopfan says:

Mitch, it’s sad that you hear one song (I love college) and then never give this kid a chance again.

  6. realness says:

Name those 20 Mitch. If you can’t you’re a bitch.

  7. kanye 4 prez says:

asher was killin it on his guest spots this year, nottz is a beat on the boards, this should be tight

  8. hiphopfan says:

realness, he’s just gonna name the first 20 unknown white rappers that come to mind

  9. Realness says:

good point hiphopfan. I doubt Q-Tip would be co-signing the dude if he sucked Mitch.

  10. Belize says:

    that should be dope!

  11. D says:

I like Asher. I thought he is going to drop a dope ass album but he released that wack shit instead. I mean, his first album was really really bad.

Let’s give him a chance. No problem. As long as he doesn’t do anymore songs with Keri Hilson and shit like that.

  12. c says:

    shits fire!! get em rawth!!

  13. BengalNation says:

Is Coming & Going clean for anyone else? BTW, this is miles ahead of his album, pretty dope.

  14. Mitch 3K says:

    @realness

    Cage
    Apathy
    Copywrite(Who already slaughtered this kid)
    Slaine
    Ill Bill
    Remedy
    Evidence
    RA/Rugged Man
    Classified

Aight, maybe not 20 off the top, but you get the point

    @ hiphopfan

I listened to the Bread Aisle album, wasnt based off one song, If I was that judgemental I’d of never liked alot of cats. I listened to the album and it was boring

  15. Trav1 says:

DOPE!! I Love it.. Asher is legit I hope more people start to realize this!!! Most everyone I ever mention him too remember I Love College and don’t take him seriously. He’s definitely worth listening to though.

  16. Yeezy Reupholsterd my Pussy says:

    shits fire!
@mitch get the fuck on asher is dope. bread aisle was dope. your a bitch get off all them white boys nuts fall back faggot

  17. gmoney says:

wasn’t even going to give this a chance, but its pretty dope.

  18. jacobjones says:

Smh, whiteys except eminem shouldnt rap, and he sucks these days.

  19. Riley says:

It’s so sad that everyone takes such polarized stances on this MC because of the color of his skin when in reality he is just one of many in a class of young, raw, talented MC’s with a long way to go. If you’re on the fuck Ash Roth bandwagon, I’d check out “His Dream,” his best joint so far.

  20. bldngblck says:

they ep name sound like it’s pronounced with a gay lisp

  21. Black Shady says:

I heard a couple of their collabos…i like it. Imma give this EP a chance. props

  22. When it comes to M.C.’s, there will always be someone better. That doesn’t mean you should overlook the work of an M.C. If you don’t listen to an M.C. or you diss them because there is someone else who can do it better, then I guess ignorance is bliss, isnt it? Tom Brady sucks because Joe Montana was better. Go fuck yourself.

  23. That bieng said, I heard one single off this EP about a month ago and it was FIRE! Nottz is dope and Asher’s got some skills. U MAD BRAH?

  24. Cory says:

    @mitch 3k

but why does it matter that he’s white? let’s judge him based on his music alone.

  25. M. Hannah says:

    @Mitch

Asher is dope in his own right man. “Asleep In The Bread Aisle” was quite dope. It was GREAT. Not at all. But it was pretty good. Asher has bars and talks about a diverse amount of topics. I also think his next album will be even better, because he’s found himself a little bit better and has been able to step outside the lane of “College Frat Boy” rapper.

    Now, on to your list.

I can’t really argue with many of those. Cage changed a lot lately, but I still dug a few cuts from this new joint, like “I Never Knew You” and stuff. But he’s moved more an indie-rock/emo vibe. I personally just don’t like Apathy and his approach to rap; this whole “I hate every fucking rapper and I’m going to stay underground and unknown forever and that makes me cool” type attitude. Classified is a BEAST, so I have no problem with that. The rest of the guys I’m actually not too familiar with, but I’ve heard a couple of joints from each, and they were decent. Evidence is definitely. But all these guys get their shine here and there. How are you mad because Asher is getting shine? People act like rappers, and more specifically, white rappers, can’t coexist. That doesn’t even make sense. Just check the artist’s music out. If you’re feeling it, you’re feeling it. If you’re not, then disregard it and keep it moving. It’s pretty simple…

  26. jburg says:

I don’t get all the hate on Asher. Dude is nice. Asleep in the bread Isle was a very underrated album. “fallen” was some real shit. people can’t get over the fact that he is white and don’t want to listen to the music for just that. THey want to keep in the back of their mind that he is a white dude. People get over that race shit. We(blacks) are always talking about the white man being racist but we don’t act any different.

  27. B. Dot's Father says:

    Cage sucks…

Soul Khan > White Rappers. PERIOD!!!

  28. Young Mo Fo says:

    Cosign @B. Dot’s Father

  29. Young Mo Fo says:

    Besides Eminem^

  30. mmm bread says:

His debut album was awesome, it had a kind of old school hip hop/soul/dirty college rock feel to it, if you listen to it as an album it was easily better than most other albums in 2009. Sour Patch Kids and La Di Da where stand out tracks for me. I will be getting his next LP first week no doubt especially after how amazing the first single (G.R.I.N.D.) was.

  31. powww says:

ive been with asher for years.

its all about “the greenhouse effect” with cannon, but bread isle is killer, and the seard foie gras mixtape was a tad weak (almost completely because its shitty mixing/mastering) but the rhymes and beats are hot. and rawth is nice. next album with production by pharrell, cool & dre, plus more should be hot. g.r.i.n.d. was definitely a summer jam. keep at it ash

  32. White_rappers311 says:

@ everyone Asher is dope and he is very diverse and all rappers from th group “the weathermen” are fuckin gay like copywrite but apathy is dope as fuck and here are other white rappers for people to debate on if u know them
    Good:
    Cognito
    Prozak
    Ryu
    Tak
    Kid rock
    Uncle kracker
    Benefit

    Bad:
That new Mac faggot kid who rides with Taylor gang or whatever that faggot wiz khalifas crew name is
    Eminems younger brother
    Copywrite
    Cage

  33. Maestro says:

Cool. I like Roth. Dude is a real spittar hero, and kinda inspired me to start writing my own shit. Being a white rapper needs to stop being so controversial, to be honest. Hip-Hop is for anyone who possesses the necessary soul. or those who seem to have a fork in every road. just a portion of these poems. there’s more that will be shown..in time.

  34. Mr.West says:

can’t wait 2 check this out! ROTH!

  35. Devil says:

Black or white Asher is fuckin’ WACK!

I can’t believe we went from Tupac, Biggie to Asher Roth…SMFH

  36. DroiDz says:

    DOESNT MATTER ABOUT SKIN COLOR!

  37. YM says:

RAW!!!! pretty dope add to hiphop!!!

  38. Nadrojj says:

If you need any vindication that this dude can rhyme, just check him on Lupe’s Beaming remix. His first line grabs you and keeps you nodding to the beat. Here’s the youtube link if you are lazy:

I too didn’t want to give him a chance after that whack I love college shit, but he’s got some skill. I can appreciate what he’s trying to do, apparently a lot of people in hip hop do, just check the dudes he’s running with.

  39. mikeyyyrockks says:

asher is dope and if you don think he can spit your a fucking hater

  40. thanks for your time for providing valuable info about the topic. I am a fan of this website. Keep up beneficial financial job.

  42. Smokey says:

Asher is a joke. I feel that he is given some sort of handicap because he is white… which is retarded considering the vast amount of white rappers with skill. He spits basic, boring, poppy music. Did you hear his diss track to copy? I mean come on, silly boy… shit is straight up retarded, I don’t care if the dude’s purple, whack is whack. He brings nothing of note to the table lyrically – the only reason he has popularity is due to the college demographic. Dude looks like a faggot, raps like a retard, but because he is a white college kid who raps about beer and flip flops or whatever the fuck, he gets album sales. It’s sad. It’s not that I hate on him cause there is someONE better, I hate on him cause I can’t think of anyone who is worse. Fuck him.
