Not only is Gucci signed to Asylum Records, but he was also committed to one yesterday following his court appearance. According to TMZ, he filed a “Special Plea of Mental Incompetency” and explained that he could not “Intelligently participate in the probation revocation hearing.” Smart strategy. Gucci is facing jail time on a 2010 probation violation.

I know niggas go to jail everywhere, but the last few months that rappers have been getting locked up (the notable ones) and dying, where have they been from? The south! So its easy to make that assumption. TI went to jail TWICE, Gucci, Wayne…and these are highly televised events. I know other people go to jail but at least its on the down low. DMX the only other nigga thats consistently going to jail besides the entire southern roster as far as music goes.
