’10 Worst Albums: #2 Meth, Ghost, Rae Wu-Massacre
On paper, it seemed like a good idea. Method Man, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon: Three of the Wu-Tang’s most celebrated artists all on one album. Unfortunately, some things are better left alone. Such is the case with the Wu-Massacre. Out the gate, flaws are evident. Take “Criminology 2.5”. A song inspired by Rae’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx that doesn’t even feature The Chef. Elsewhere, dull guest features riddle “Smooth Sailing (Remix)”, “Gunshowers”, and “Youngstown Heist”. Not to mention, the pointless skits. Another major problem is the brevity of the album. Masscare only lasts 30 minutes. Even Stevie could see this was a rush job put out by the bigwigs at Def Jam. Yet and still, the Big Three must take responsiblity for their own actions. This is one massacre we refuse to smell.

was it less than expected? yes.. but were there tons of worst albums that should have gotten this worst album rating, hell yeah!..
I don’t disagree with this being so high only cause those 3 names created such high expectations. It’s kinda like the “Distant Relatives” album being #1 on that other list, YN expected a lot (probably too much) from it, thus the over exaggerated dramatics.
This should have been on the most disappointing albums list because it was very disappointing. Not worst though…I am mad I paid for this shit though.
i buy’d 2 wutang cd’s this year . chamber music and massacre . man all i got to say is . those albums not worth to be buye’d . i heard this years 10 times better mixtapes .. and the biggest bullshit about this cd is that its only 30 minutes long … cmon man .
Also, Little Brother “Leftback” should have been on the disappointing albums list. What a terrible way for a great group to end their music career.

Anyone would have HIGH HIGH expectations for this project, so to be let down, that should be a disappointment right? I recommend you dont even do that list next year cuz yall didnt do it last year I dont think. That list was confusing cuz yall cant even distinguish bad from disappointing.

If you didn’t even listen to the album, but you heard soulja boy’s whole album, don’t even comment. This album was a bit of a disappointment. It was obviously rushed and short, it’s not the worst. ‘Dangerous’ is my favourite track on the album. You could take the worst track on Wu-Massacre and it would still be way better than Soulja Boy’s best effort on his album (whatever that maybe).
