Before the main event, the Recording Academy gave out several golden gramophones in the hip-hop/urban music categories. So far, Jay-Z leads the pack with three trophies while Eminem takes home one. On the R&B front, John Legend and The Roots rack up three awards for Wake Up!. Meanwhile, Cee-Lo snags one for “Fuck You”.

for me Beautiful by Eminem was way better then any song on recovery especially Not Afraid. Beautiful (for me) was a much more meaningful song….
I call bull on Jay-Z he got grammys noms and wins for Blueprint 3 last year, check his wiki its bull and also Empire State of mind can’t compete with Not Afraid…Not Afraid was the 16th and 2nd rap song to debut the Hot 100…are you kidding me, Jay-Z empire state of mind was good, but I’ll be damned Recovery was better
