I second that Brandy needs to get back to working with Rodney Jerkins. Or if she’s going to work with Timbo it should be for ballads like “Should I Stay.” She needs to be doing record like Beyonce “Halo” and Keyshia Cole “Love” cause she’s the voice to handle those big records. Also, her rapping isn’t bad but it’s not great either and she’s a much much much better singer.
And Timbo. What’s the point of these tracks? he’s not putting an album out. He’s not getting any buzz from this. I literally forget every week until I see it pop up on RR. @ Juwols and G: Yes, it does sound like TI’s “What You Like”… but the melody isn’t original. It is interpolated from the bridge of “Gone Away” by The Impressions (and later covered by Roberta Flack and Queen Latifah.)
Now… “Whenever You Like” is pretty decent… for a demo, not a single. Needs to be polished… and Tim’s parts needs to be extracted.
