The cover art is hot to me, it reminds me of the style of the Hindu gods who were portrayed this way in art in India. Hip-hop aint the only culture yall! As far as Lil B rapping, I though he was garbage too until I heard him really spit. Dude is nice and his music is genuine, which cannot be said for a lot of artists right now, new or old. I personally think if you are a true music lover, you have to respect someone who has established the body of work he has, the authenticity in (most) of his music, and that he pushes the boundaries of what is deemed “traditional”. Being traditional is not how hip-hop got on and thats not how its gonna stay relevant. Pushing the envelope did and will. The whole pretty bitch, tight clothes metro thing was harder for me to accept but im over that too. I dont think Lil B is gay, I think hes trying to push the boundary of what we deem masculine and what we deem homosexual in hip hop and in society. For a rapper to say “im a pretty bitch” he has to know hes going to get killed in the public. If hes not really a homosexual, hes willingly accepting these labels basically to hold a mirror up to us, the people who are so quick to villify gay people. Were all good with lesbians in hip-hop lol. But when I listened to the song with Messy Marv “I look Like hannah Montana” I kinda drew the parallel. Theyre saying they get women, they have fans like Hanna Montana, Justin Beiber, Bill Clinton, Ellen Degeneres, whoever. Its concept based, and I think it goes over a lot of peoples heads.
