  7. Sincere973 says:

This is interesting, it’s not a bad Hov verse…but he doesn’t fit on this track at all…Who would’ve thought that Hov would have a verse that outshined his flow. Overall not a bad song…def not a great song though…Sade always does her thing

  8. Your mother's "Friend" says:

Yep he killed it no doubt about it , but to be honest his voice kinda ruins the vibe …. I can see why Sade was reluctant to collab with rappers

  9. Word says:

Hmmmm nice smooth joint. Good job to the nigga Jay. I prefer Sade by herself but this aint bad.

  22. Talk is Cheap says:

    ^ Cosign.

ALSO – Is it me or does this feel like Jay jacked one of Drake’s ideas.. same way he jacked Kanye’s idea for doing a song with Coldplay. Rappers need to keep their mouths shut. Cause a dude like Jay, will Deebo ur shit and his stans will defend him till the ho’s won’t fuck.

  23. JIMMY says:

    ANOTHER MASTERPIECE BY 40!

    -JIMMY IS THE ILLEST

  24. Matt says:

Jays flow is wack and ruins the song

  25. haha says:

Jay killed that verse whole song is dope. Y’all can’t appreciate some dope shit like this?

  29. Chris says:

Not to make this a Jigga/Nas thing, but I wish Sade would released that remix she did with Nas of Lover’s Rock from like a decade ago. Salaam Remi claimed they did and it was kept in the vault during an interview last year
When I heard this project was a mix of remixes and unreleased stuff I was hoping that was gonna make the cut

  30. suppppppppp says:

Damn there’s some hater ass mother fuckers on this site, prolly never loved their mommas neither.

  31. veesky says:

Actually Jay nvr stole the Coldplay idea from Kanye…it’s a known fact that Jay knew Chris Martin (& Gwnyneth Paltrow), who he was already close 2…and gave Kanye the contact. All the stuff he talks abt on “Big Brother” him & Jay have spoken on

  32. assasin9 says:

    *pregnant pause* lmao –

yall serious – Jay bodied this track- one of the few times he actually stayed on topic and didn’t brag about himself — this shit is ill.

  33. Tim Lee VA Stand Up says:

    @ Belize

Why you dick riding me so much??

and If saying Jay-Z’s Blueprint flow came out in that track is dick riding and that it was smooth…….is hardly a dick ride.

I think you just feeli like getting “@” me. Hater.

  34. m85 says:

dope..real smooth…jays verse u gotta go back n unpack in classic jay fashion..real smooth..didnt sound forced..shout to noah on the beat..hov wins again

  35. wickwickwack says:

sade would have a better chemistry with Drake but jay

  36. mac DIESEL says:

THIS SHIT IS DOPE!!!! SADE NEVER DISAPPOINTS!!!!

    DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!

  37. bigjay2501 says:

blah…no replay value for me personally

  38. suppppppppp says:

Drake ain’t fit to be on a track with Sade tbh. He’s younger, the only rappers that should be allowed to be on a track with her is Nas or Jay. Also this shit is hot.

  39. DIGGSY!!! says:

    its cool

    Talk is Cheap says:

“Cause a dude like Jay, will Deebo ur shit and his stans will defend him till the ho

  45. LA says:

?Rap about it now i hope you get it later?

  46. Peekay says:

    jay-z kinda ruined it

  47. […] HERE to listen to Sade’s new remix featuring Jay-Z, for Moon & The Sky, which was produced by […]

  48. Sam I Am says:

This was dope, Jay’s verse had simple words but very deep meanings. The wordplay delivery is on point as well.

  49. blaqscorpio says:

WTF are y’all complaining about? This ish is SMOOTHE!

  50. no rmx says:

Never shoulda remixed it the original stands alone by faaaaaaar.

  51. pienman says:

damn, feelin! 40 on the up&up….whoa indeed killin it hova u jus made it epic to be the 1st rapper to break SADE virginity…indeed dawg u a beast for that one son…

indeed he killed the verse, homage to both of these g.o.a.ts.
    homage- applause….louder, loudest…. deafen

  52. IZM says:

Idk… personally I think its pretty good. Maybe not quite at the level Id expect from either of them, but still its a good song.

  53. IZM says:

Actually, now that Im re-listening to the original, 40 totally ruined it. Damn.

  54. 5k on my wrist says:

    i clicked for jayz verse

  55. Belize says:

Could have done better than that. -_-

  56. Lil' Nello says:

Really dope collabo & Hov went in on his verse! Wouldn’t expect nothing less from 2 legends though & really love 40’s production on it!

  57. QUEENZ says:

someone get Mos Def on the line and tell him Jay borrowed his flow from “Taxi” please.

  58. wow… real tuff, real emotional……to me, a reminiscent of “Song Cry.”

  59. puerto-black says:

Good Shit. Sade is on everybody list

  60. Eyerone says:

only thing i didnt like was 40’s production.

  61. the One says:

Shit was smooth . … Anyone else think Jay’s verse may be about his kid in Trinidad and that model girl? HA!
Just some food for thought… Need to go deep wit it Jay, he’s always painting pictures but never finishing them.
    Nice Track!

  62. that shit's like wut- the -fuk says:

oh my fukin god that shit was so fukin boring to tryna wait for jay to get on it! this joint is sooo fukin shitty, noone will ever love this motherfukin song! lmfao…..

  63. mikey says:

i read in another article that this song is really 2 years old, they’re just now releasing it , so this was around the time when jay was on his blueprint 3 era which he wasn’t really focused sounding at that time .. he goes way harder now-a-days, listen to all the recent collabs he was on last year from drake, rick ross, kanyes G.O.O.D friday songs, hot-tottie, he went ham on H.A.M.,,,but this was kinda boring/decent at best

  64. brick says:

Always good to reinvent self but should have thought this through. Jay z does not reflect Sade’s energy although he is one of the greatest. I would have selected talib kweli. It would have been a natural synergy and nothing forced. Thats perfect chemistry. The greatest rapper does not equate to best collaboration. Just a thought.

  65. firefly81 says:

This song should have left Jay-z off this song. Sade is the shit and 40 beats to this song was a success but Jay-z was not needed.

  66. suppppppp says:

smh @ the comments. ARE YOU GUYS FUCKING CRAZY? JAY Z ABSOLUTELY KILLED HIS VERSE… HATERS JUST HATE TO HATE. YOU AIN’T RAP CONNOISSEURS, JUST LISTEN AND SHUT THE FUCK UP.

  67. suppppppp says:

ARE Y’ALL CATCHING HOW MANY DOUBLE/TRIPLE ENTENDRES JAY HAD IN HIS VERSE? DO Y’ALL GOT EARS? JAY DROPPED A TOP-NOTCH VERSE, JUST WHAT I EXPECT FROM HIM IF HES DOIN A COLLAB WITH SADE.

  68. lockafk says:

Sade first rap collab was with Bone Thugs wayyyyy back. Come on RR

  69. Keith says:

Jay’s verse is really well written from a literary perspective. Recognize.

  70. BlaZe1 says:

its funny cuz its produced by 40 who is drakes producer…i kno drake is salty he didnt get on da record haha

  71. ILL says:

Yall just dont get it!! Listen and hear the music u simple minded ignorant scumbags. This is music great music not that shit thats only hot for a couple of spins and then you forget about it.

  72. juju0190 says:

wtf was Drake gonna talk about on this track?? some shit about how being famous is hard? fuck outta here

  73. mike says:

first rap collaboration was a remix by Nas

but it was not officially on a compact disc

jayz’s mogulness can make it happen

  74. illaDeuce says:

    Dope as fuck. Fall back.

  75. diva could’ve found a better rapper not just the most world famous rapper. but oh well. beat’s hot.

  76. “sometimes you get what you need… not what you think you want…
so maybe no moon & sky… yet a beautiful son…”

    #PregnantPause………………..

  77. Ashin Kusher says:

Wow. We’d be lucky if this is the standard music is judged by today. Jay’s metaphors are on another level in this verse.

  78. Andrew says:

that verse was tight. I’m psyched for Sade’s Ultimate Collection. nothing like 2 discs of classic Sade material and a couple of rare/unreleased tracks to cap it off. there’s a Neptunes Remix of By Your Side on there too… its crazyyy. lol being the sade stan i am i have the vinyl of it, but i need it on cd.

if you’re tryna support, pre-order it here: http://amzn.to/i2rMDk
    it drops May 3
