If Rick Ross hadn’t already released “I’m Not A Star,” I think this song would be getting praised much more than it is, although it seems to get hated on quite a bit. But regardless of how many people seem to dislike Lil Wayne, Tha Carter IV will still probably sell 550k the first week out, since he’s bigger than Drake and Thank Me Later I believe sold around 450k in the first 7 days.

Eminem’s Recovery album sold like 740k first week, and in terms of popularity Lil Wayne is probably on par with him. So anywhere from 500k-700k seems likely. Does huge first week sales indicate great talent? Not necessarily. But in the next month the hype should be there. All it takes is one big single or one nice video to create a huge buzz.
