Eminem & Royce Da 5’9″ Announce EP
Welcome to the best of both worlds. Now that Eminem and Royce Da 5’9″ are back on the same page, the pair are set to release an EP inspired by their 1999 collaboration, Bad Meets Evil. The project is set to drop on June 14th through Interscope and will feature production from D-12’s Mr. Porter, Havoc, DJ Khalil, Bangladesh and others. Here’s what Em had to say:
“Royce and I started hanging out again and inevitably that led us back into the studio. At first we were just seeing where it went without any real goal in mind, but the songs started to come together crazy, so here we are.”
As for Royce:
“I’m excited to see this project come to fruition considering the long lapse in time between when we worked before and now. We had a blast doing it and we just hope everyone enjoys it while we’re working on the ‘Monster’ that will be the Slaughterhouse album. #TeamShady”

this will be dope like just about anything either of them put out..i definitely wouldn’t call eminem a pop rapper though. he just grew up, thats all. just cuz he’s not underground anymore also doesn’t make him pop. the guy creates poetry that nobody else can and then presents it with a bang. the reason so many people love his music is because we can relate to it. nobody can relate to these other rappers talking about drugs and money and bitches all the time. thats not a normal life. childhood problems, girl problems, getting bullied, politics, etc. are things that the average person can relate to. like biggie, pac, big pun and some other greats you can just feel em’s music and it paints a vivid picture with the lyrics. now, i’ll be the first to say he puts out those corny singles that could maybe be considered pop but what other pop song still sounds like them? none? and pop usually has no originality which those songs do so its arguable but the rest of his albums sound nothing like those songs and he just gets hardcore with his rapping. sometimes i think he used to have lines that packed a little harder punch and might have already reached his prime but thats still yet to be seen. his style just changed a lot and some people cant adjust but just compare the creativity and complexity to what else you hear and its just better. even kanye does great things nowadays but every feature hes on lately he talks about the same shit.. like kanye says hes on his own dick. kanye used to rap about things but his new music is just like some lil wayne bullshit talking about money and sex in weird ass ways

MBDTF was a straight ass classic that will be -about in 5/7 years be seen as- one of the best hiphop albums of all time. off all time ya digg. and jigga is on his smooth-style right now (monster,so appaled, the joy). his flow is just fine as hell and BP3 was not real hiphop, but still bettee than relapse. maybe not better than recovery but its close.

I will argue that fact. MBDTF is by far the most overated piece of trash in the history of hip-hop. It sucked. There were about 3 redeeming tracks on there, Dark Fantasy one of those, and those were mostly because of good production.
All the features, aside from Raekwon, were the new shitty dudes blowing up their egos, talking out their ass, with less-than-clever one-liners over smashing beats. That’s not good music, as far as I’m concerned, and has zero replay value.
Kanye Fell Off, Jay Fell Off, 50 Fell Off, Em Fell Off. Sure, they’re still talented and drop hints that they ‘still have it’, but the vast majority of their stuff is eaten up because people are trying to cling to the past, not because it’s clever or ‘good’.

jay-z has the best flow ever. BP3 was not really good but better than relapse and close to recovery. and he does it really big with new hits like; free mason x so appaled x monster. kanye is the dopest rapper at the moment. MBDTF/good friday was the definition of dopenesssss. + is after drdre & premier the illest producer out there. so you know.
