Growing Up with Mr.Heron’s music and then being able to actually meet him in Harlem where he lived… to actually being able to develop a 1st name Rapport (no pun intended) with him. I perceive as the most unconventional internship ever… We would discuss syncopational patterns and how to manipulate them with melody… All on the street corner. And he would remember where we left off at when we randomly would cross paths again… He’s not just a Black Poet/Musician, He’s an incredible Free Thinking Mind,I’m sure most will agree a Genius in our time… A true Wordsmith!
Rest In Power Mr.Gil Scott Heron
