There’s little to believe in these days—even when it comes to album tracklistings. Nothing’s confirmed, but DOTR posted 10 titles which are supposedly from Kanye West and Jay-Z’s album, Watch The Throne. Is this what you heard, Maxwell?

  • H.A.M. is the only Jay-Z / Kanye track that is no good. Every other track they’ve done together is classic. That shit was wack tho. The only good thing that came from that was Busta’s remix verse which was ridiculously dope.

    And does anybody really listen to Bad Meets Evil? Cuz I cant do it. Its the same verse (double-time flow, multisyllable rhymes and lots of corny punchlines about how good they are, with Em screaming and Royce trying really hard to keep his flow on beat) repackaged onto 9 different beats. I dont hate Em or Royce, and that 1 verse that each of them can spit is a really good one. But BME made me realize that no matter what the lineup is, theres always a possibility that you get stuck in a rut and get boring.

I kinda shake my head at ppl who get so dazzled by the flow and rhymes that they miss the concept of each song. Sucks for you though. To each his own tho. I enjoyed this EP a bit more than Recovery so hey. And nice try with the “shut up hater” thing you put.

    This tracklist looks pretty fake to me, and if not, then we should’ve learned from MBDTF not to count a Ye album out because of some bad naming. HAM isn’t on there, that’s good. They’ve apparently realized that wan’t living up to standards. SMH at ppl calling it a pop album, just because there’s one song with Bruno Mars on it. Last time I checked, he’s on Hell too idiots, so why don’t you call it a pop album. Stop judging music you haven’t heard. Have you forgot the classics they’ve made? Never Let Me Down, Diamonds Remix, So Apalled, The Joy, Power Remix, Run This Town, etc. When this album is classic I bet you’ll all be on their dick again too, until they start having a rly successful run again then you’ll call them overrated smh

    Yup, thats pretty much all I took away from the EP. But since the only saving grace that u mentioned aside from your own personal preference was the “concepts”, please, go ahead and detail which subjects they explored in each song with their time on the mic. Because other than “Lighters” and a vague Hangover theme on “Im On Everything”, all I got from BME was way too many childish, cornball punchlines and about 45 minutes of rap about rap.

    @Yomster, I agree with you, although I haven’t heard BME in it’s entirety, I heard quite a few leaks and they are spittin or should I say rhyming, cuz being alongside Em makes ppl say weird things for some odd reason. It’s really a bunch of ignorant punchlines or a bunch of words. IMO it’s not material I would love to recite to myself or with the homies and that’s when Jay and Ye come in, cuz they will leave that memorable impression on you. Even if your not a fan. But shout out to BME.

    Have any of you actually listened to that Bad Meets Evil EP. That shit is flawless. It’s beyond fire, both lyrically and production wise. None of these can beat Em and Royce lyrically. Jay fell off and Kanye can’t rap for shit. Cudi has to write shit for him. So lyrically it’s impossible for these two to get even close to Hell: The Sequel. The only zone they will win is the production area. Kanye is a producer more than an artist. So he he will show his charm there. But this is Hip Hop great beats with lame lyrics won’t get you to the top and worst of all Watch the Throne features Beyonce and Bruno Mars. Two of the biggest pop stars today. So no matter how much you try to deny it will be definitely pop and the tracks looks wack. So the winner will be Bad Meets Evil.
