Joell called Funkmaster Flex on Hot 97 this evening and spoke on Liza Rios and Cuban Link dismissing his tribute track, “Big Pun Back”. Frankly, keeping Pun’s legacy alive shouldn’t be an issue.

All yall dudes are suckers. Watch the Cuban video again. They said they wasnt feeling the track and felt it wasnt Ortiz’ place to make that type of track. In the same video they clarify that it wasnt beef or shots and that he’s an awesome lyricist.

Niggas will say some slick side shit, that comes with the territory, but if they were really dissing him, they wouldnt have given him any props at all. A tribute track is one thing but the whole ” _________’s Back” movement was flawed from the get-go. If he wanted to do a tribute, it could have been done differently. I used to go to PR Parade when Cuban Link and Tony Sunshine were actually relevant. That was sooo long ago. I actually forgot about them.
However, someone should do a documentary about that whole Terror Squad crew and what really happened after Pun died. They were doppe as a crew so I’m curious to see what Armageddon & Prospect. I’m sure Remy Ma, Cuban, Tony Sunshine, and of course, Fat Joe all have some good stories to tell.

Cuban and Tony are talented, Joell is a beast, perhaps a remix with all of them including Baby Pun is a simple solution.
