Billboard will have a new number one tomorrow with Bad Meets Evil’s Hell: The Sequel claiming the top spot. According to Hits Daily Double, the EP sold approximately 166,992 copies. This will be Eminem’s eighth number one and Royce’s first. Congrats guys.

How can anyone say this is a flop? Honestly aside from here I’ve heard little promotion, no big pop single, and Eminem isn’t the lead name in the credits. Plus, it was released on such short notice. Selling 160,000 copies of some tracks recorded just dicking around is nothing to scoff at.

all i got to say is this ep is really good. i have been a eminem fan since the beginning and when i heard him and royce were going to do an ep i was excited. The beats were good the lyrics were really good and they mixed it up and gave everyone something to like on the ep. To me sales dont mean a whole lot. i am glad that it is #1 though. I bought it. i also think eminem was really sharp on his verses and call me a stan but i know he is the best rapper in the game. I look forward to royce’s album and slaughterhouse and a d-12 album and if detox ever comes out that should be good too.

Lighter’s is a POP song. Period. Ofcourse, if they decide to put that out as their next single (which I’m pretty sure they are- check their site “Download ‘Lighters'”), it’s gonna blow up

I think more importantly is that Em is making an attempt to bring real hip hop to the forefront. People don’t realize how really important this EP is. This EP for the most part is straight lyrical. If any body can make an attempt tp balance the game back were it needs to be its Em. Joe Budden and Royce already said hip hop saved their lives so they will give theirs to save hers. Meaning they won’t compromise dumbing down their lyrics because people are to slow to comprehend. There’s no way to bring back real sh-t if you keep conforming to this south bullsh-t. You gotta come wit it if they don’t don’t get it, f-ck up. They already said the goal wasn’t to sell a sh-t load of records, but to create a movement. At least they making a real attempt to shift the game back were it needs to be. For that I commend Shady records. It a good look to sell that many records and be no. 1 with real hip hop.
Now at least these dummy’s will have some type of idea what real hip hop sounds like instead of being smothered by YMCB and other bullsh-t artist. Maybe this will open doors. It’s about time for a shift in content.

Those are pretty good numbers considering it’s an EP that seemed to magically appear one day. Selling 160k+ in the first week would be a flop for Eminem if the album were an Eminem album.
Can you really say that it’s Eminem’s 8th #1 though? Shouldn’t it be Bad Meets Evil’s 1st #1 since their classified as a group when they team up? (They have an official group name.) When Slaughterhouse dropped an album, it was a Slaughterhouse album, not a Joe Budden, Crooked I, Joel Ortiz, Royce da 5’9 album. You can’t put it on the scale as any of Eminem’s other works because it’s not the same thing.
If you did, you’d have to rank it with Infinite and the Slim Shady EP but even then it wouldn’t work because Hell: The Sequal is 50% Eminem.
At any rate, I hope they decide to put out an LP in the future (when all their other projects die down). If Royce and Em can produce music like this just goofing off, I can only imagine the insanity if they actually tried.
