  1. RC says:

    Seems that crowd was as bored as I was when I first heard that bullshit ass song as well.

    Work Out is a shitty single.

    I want Cole to win. Just get a better single.

  2. DJ says:

    Terrible Single! A guy with this much talent shouldn’t be makin’ songs like this!

    Cole step yo game up!

  3. Jack Mehoof says:

    I tolerate that joint till he does the Paula Abdul shit…big time Cole fan but that joint is eggghhhhhhh

  4. Citizen says:

    Just cut the song off the album, and STOP SINGING YOUR OWN FUCKIN’ HOOKS.

  5. STINKMEANER says:

    JCOLE GET A NEW SINGLE

    I WANT TO SUPPORT YOU BUT THAT TRACK MAKES ME EMBARASSED

  6. Converse says:

    DOPE

    Cole world nigga! coppin two albums fuck a download

  7. Converse says:

    @Rc Nigga its a pop concert he barely even mainstream? so they not going to be hype for him or the single

  8. flawda says:

    Ain’t nothing wrong with the fucking single, it’s a good summer track. WTF were you negros expecting DEAR MAMMA PT. 2?

    My only issue is, he needs to stop singing his hooks, or he needs to back up his voice with a real singer.

  9. Kickstart says:

    awkward movements. awful song.

  10. Charlie Gasko says:

    This is what everyone wanted remember singles, hooks the album. Dumb down lyrics, videos and commercialism is all apart of an album release. Be careful what you wish for. I’ll take Mixtape Cole, I don’t care about the album more Friday Night Lights material and less record label pressure.

  11. Nyc says:

    He didn’t sing the entire single. Verse one is missing!

    It’s a mainstream single, relax lol

  12. Freewqs says:

    Really cant wait 4 the album

  13. RC says:

    @Converse

    That crowd would have gotten hype if that was Big Sean up there….truth hurts.

    Mainstream doesn’t mean dumbed down lyrics. Just means POPULAR. You can be popular and still spit fire.

    Just face it this song isnt good. Making excuses for J Cole isnt going to help him as well. This is his single and its not being played anywhere. Singles are meant for radio play, then wheres his radio play?

    Why tour with Rihanna then? He wants that Pop audience. Well with that single hes failing. When he was speaking, that crowd responded to him. They just got quiet when the song came on lol.

  14. jayoconn says:

    what those radio spins looking like? i havent heard it played on nyc radio. i like the single though.

  15. Kamari says:

    It wasn’t like Big Sean’s “My Last” was immediately serviced to radio, they just cleared the sample last week. As far as the single goes it’s cool, but it’s not a great representation of who he is as an artist.

  16. Hip-Hop Fiend says:

    I’m still coppin that album I don’t think the rest of the album will be like this. I liked “Who Dat” as the first single too bad it didn’t pick up. He could of came with a better lyrical song and still got radio play

  17. Lil Majer The Cartune says:

    I don’t know why people expect these artist to make their mixtape-lyrical-music as singles… Y’all saw how sideways “Who Dat” went!

    Although that music is dope! An artist needs a single that will get some radio play… And white people……. This song is probably his most universal one to date! Quit your complaining! An artist gotta eat!!

    Sn: I’ve been waiting for this to hit iTunes for the longest!

  18. Converse says:

    @Rc I never said it was a lyrical song or dope? But yeah you cant compare Big Sean to Cole 1)Sean is WACK and more radio friendly when comes to making corny pop songs? so he got a leg up 2)He has a number one or two rap single? And you say im making excuses? Nah more like a giving a good reason why they arent that hype

  19. BK says:

    I still bump A star is born cole up next!

  20. That Nigga says:

    i love cole but come on man wtf r u thinking with this bullshit. This aint a single, marvin gaye and chardonaay came out and the next day i heard that on the radio. This has been out for almost 3 weeks and I havent even heard people talking bout it yet.

  21. Word says:

    @RC

    Its they first time hearing the song, of course they not gonna be hype. They dont even know the words yet. I know you hear ppl cheering. You keep sayign you want Cole to win and thats cool, but stop shitting on him. We get it, you dont like the single. No need to CONSTANTLY shit on dude as if he hasnt given you classic material before and isnt capable of doing it again.

    That being said, I like this song, I just wish “It Wont be Long” was the single. That song woulda been a hit if it was

  22. Word says:

    WOW. I guess NONE of you guys have heard LOST ONES huh? LOST ONES thats gonna be on the ALBUM. Mixtape Cole???? He on the album, just listen to LOST ONES if you want proof cuz its gonna be on the album too.

  23. Anon DCPL says:

    Jay Z better start pumping some $$$ to clear channel & radio stations to get this track some spins.

    Shoulda never signed to RocNation.

    It’s a cold world after all.

  24. Word says:

    @RC And they got quiet when the song came on cuz they wanted to hear what he was saying. Like I said before, its brand new to them. Wouldnt you want to hear a brand new song word for word so you can properly judge it? Come on man you reaching for excuses tryna make it seem like the crowd wasnt feeling it. They cheered afterwards too.

    And for all you non-believers on what the content of this album will be (@Charlier Grasko) listen to Lost Ones cuz thats gonna be on the album. A single is a single, but the rest of the album is gonna be vintage Cole. Yall fair weather fans need to get it together. Its still Cole World all fucking day!

  25. Black Shady says:

    COLE WORLD

  26. Hip-Hop Fiend says:

    I’m saying this song was spost to give him radio play I haven’t heard on the radio yet if so not on heavy rotation. But its whatever the nigga still gonna drop a classic I just think this song will fuck up the vibe of the rest of album he could done without this one. He need to drop one more single before the album drop

  27. Word says:

    @Hip Hop Fiend

    Imean but the single always sticks out like a sore thumb cuz its typically the most commercial song on the album. I feel like the album is still gonna be smooth. And it took Big Seans “My Last” a little while after we heard it before it hit the radio now its all I hear. Imean thats a better “song” I suppose but im sure we’ll hear Work Out a couple times. Hey, In the Morning gets TONS of play they might as well play Work Out right after it or something lol.

  28. ethug says:

    you are all retarded cube monkeys.

    what are you going to say when the label puts money into rotation and the video drops?

    this is a perfect move for cole. SUPER radio friendly single. Sample that speaks to mid 20’s hip hop fans off the college dropout + a little paula abdul that white moms will hear on z100 and be like oh i like that!

    fuck outta here you dumb ass blog rats. so tired of hearing you niggas trash artists when all you’re doing is sitting at your boring desk jobs talking about how much this rapper sucks, or that rapper sucks.

    HOV cosigned this single but you idiots know better…. yea OK.

  29. RC says:

    This is a single. I aint tryna hear no bullshit about it being new. Its been awhile. And it should have been on Radio’s all across the country.

    I’m gonna shit on Cole as much I would praising him.

    Just because I want him to win dont mean im going to overlook that bullshit as single he put out. If he is capable of classic music then he should be capable of classic singles.

    He used Kanye’s workout plan and made a stinker, bitches loved workout plan but they aint heard this song and aint looking for it either.

  30. LA says:

    Sheesh that fool RC is reaching smh

    Cole world no cover!

  31. Charlie Gasko says:

    @Word
    Don’t need to educate me on dude I’ve done my homework, I ain’t new. I’m speaking to people who overlooked ‘Friday Night Lights’ as a debut album, it was. No DJ, no label pressure for hits, and full of classic material. I’m speaking to people who want a big label studio album just so they can trash it. My girl loves “work out” that’s who it’s for girls and to make new fans I know what is, I’ll take “lost one’s.”

  32. Hip-Hop Fiend says:

    To be honest J. Cole don’t need any songs for radio play. The rest of his album will be filled with classic joints not radio songs. His buzz is big he got loyal fans inclusing who been waiting for this album for 2 years if not longer so he should just drop another street single. If it was up to J. Cole he wouldn’t have drop that. Its Jay-Z he wouldn’t drop the album unless he put some shit out like that. I remember Jay-Z saying he was getting stargate to produce a song for Cole so he can have a song like Black & Yellow. Work Out isnt the worst song in the world its just when we look back at Cole World years from now we gonna have classic songs that we havent even heard yet, Lost Ones, and then WORK OUT really. Nas and Jay-Z didn’t have radio hits on their debut

  33. Word says:

    @RC

    How long after My Last dropped did it take for it to hit radios? Quiet a while. Its only been a week since Work Out dropped. Your reaching. These are Rihanna fans, they not checking for Cole. It was a new song when they heard it in this video. Fuck I look like cheering to a song I never even heard before? Imma listen to it, go home, and download it. Then at the next show they gonna know all the words. When Who Dat dropped and he FIRST performed it, ppl was just listening. At all his shows afterwards? Every bitch and every nigga singing the words. Give it time. Its only been about a week or two since this song dropped let it heat up a little. And no one saying you shouldnt have an opinion but you come off as more of a hater than a fan looking out for him when you shit on him like you do on almost every related post to him. Let dude breathe. He doing his own thing, has his own plan and making his own music. I like Big Sean and Drake and all them other niggas but they all different.

    @Charlie Graasko. Good looks. I wasnt sure you heard it cuz you talking bout this album not gonna be vintage Cole when Lost Ones is on the album and thats very much VINTAGE Cole right there. No hate though

  34. ethug says:

    @Hip-Hop Fiend

    are you aware of how the industry works? you realize without Work Out there will be no album and Cole would be forced to be Joe Buddens?

  35. What!! says:

    The song hasn’t officially been sent to radio and is already getting added on playlists. His impressions have been increasing so much, plus he shoot the video 2 days ago with niggas like Drake making appearances. Cole also produced Wale’s new single and is featured on it. They also shoot the video yesterday. You niggas analyze shit too much. Come back at the end of next month and trash the song if it doesn’t chart then cos Cole’s moving rhythmic #’s (crossover radio) and also Urban. And anyways the song has only been out for 2 weeks.

  36. ethug says:

    TELL EM @WHAT!!

    #fucktards

  37. Hip-Hop Fiend says:

    @ethug… yes I am aware of how the industry works. I know you got make a song for radio put even with that you can still make a classic commercial record. Yall niggas know J. Cole is more capable of making better songs for radio. I like the song I’m just not in love with it. Your first single should be for radio but it should also set the tone for the rest of album. Look at 50 when drop “In Da Club” it was all over the radio but niggas that didn’t even listen to radio was still playing that shit. At the end of the day I wanna see J. Cole win and if this gonna get him that push then so be it maybe the song will pick up but always thought J. Cole first would mean alot more to him but maybe thats because I listen to “Lights Please”, “Simba”, “Killers”, and “Lost Ones” religously. J. Cole is smart he not gonna put out nuthin less than a classic. Little disapointed in first single but I’m not trippin off one song…Cole World

  38. Kamari says:

    Even Kanye had “Breathe In, Breathe Out” on College Dropout and I’m pretty sure that was supposed to be a single, it just didn’t turn out that way cuz Slow Jams blew up and his buzz was pretty big. I’m not in love w/ the single but one song doesn’t kill an album. Give the body of work a chance. I bet yall niggas would shit on Jordan if he had an off night too.

  39. I know it all says:

    COLE WORLD AND FUCK@RC! GO BUMP DRAKE NO DEFENSE!

  40. kendra says:

    i haven,t heard the song on the radio yet either so how is his album going to sell if he doesn,t get any airplay off this song that he is singing to? nuff said thou…
