Gee Roberson (pictured right) has been named the Chairman of Geffen Records. He and partner Kyambo “Hip Hop” Joshua (left) are co-founders of the Hip-Hop Since 1978 management firm. Clients consist of Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Drake and Lil Wayne.

In a statement, Interscope chief Jimmy Iovine said the following:

“Gee has a unique combination of talents that the music industry really needs running a record company today.”

Billboard will have a new number one tomorrow with Bad Meets Evil’s Hell: The Sequel claiming the top spot. According to Hits Daily Double, the EP sold approximately 166,992 copies. This will be Eminem’s eighth number one and Royce’s first. Congrats guys.
