Pete Rock and Smif-N-Wessun celebrated the release of Monumental last night at the Tammany Hall in NYC’s Lower East Side. After the show, chaos sparked between clubgoers and the NYPD outside. Clips from the show after the jump.
The Lower End Professionals stopped by Green Lantern’s Invasion Radio this week and showed off their talents over Clipse’s “What Happened To That Boy” and 50 Cent’s “Back Down”.

Mrs. Dean became the latest artist to get immortalized by Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Times Square. MTV was at the unveiling and got her reaction.
“I actually think it’s really, really good! “I was looking close up: It’s like my eyebrows are for real, and it’s like my eyes are for real, and the bone structure of my chin, like, ‘Look, that’s my chin! That’s my jaw. It’s incredible. It’s really incredible, and I think it’s so cool to be a part of the New York City part of the exhibit. I was born and raised here, this is my home, so it’s so perfect.”
On a separate but related note, Alicia recently signed on to produce the Broadway play “Stick Fly”. Opening curtain is December 8th, but here’s what she had to say about the production.
“The piece is really about this beautiful African-American family in Martha’s Vineyard, and it is so deep,” she said of the play by Lydia R. Diamond. “It’s about all the secrets that families have, and it’s funny. What I love about it is it bypasses everything, and it’s all about family.”
A screening was held in NYC last night for 9th Wonder’s documentary, The Wonder Year. Presented by LRG and directed by Kenneth Price, the film chronicles 9th’s formative years up to now.
