Wayne used to be the best rapper alive. He no longer holds that title. He also no longer claims to be the best rapper alive. Before anyone starts to think I am just hating, I am a Wayne Fan! The more media outlets and Lil Wayne himself keep proclaiming that grossly undeserved title, the more people, especially those only casually interested in hip-hop and the general public, will actually believe it, and that all of us hip-hop fans actually label his (mediocre at best) meterial as ‘the best hip-hop has to offer’.
This then reflects negatively on hip-hop’s general perception, further insinuating the (sometimes falsified) stereotypes associated with it: a genre that glorifies violence, profanity, sex and degradation of women, drugs, etc., when in fact hip-hop is much more broad than that.
Nas, Common, Big Boi, Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco and many more have much more to offer than this clown, yet (it’s sad that) they don’t have as much influence for people to acknowledge it.

Why am I mad? Because a mediocre rapper, who’s undeserving of a title (unless it’s worst rapper alive) has been named ‘best rapper alive’ by people with an IQ of 2 and others who barely know hip-hop.
I guess Best Rapper Alive doesn’t mean you actually write your own lyrics so it shouldn’t bother anybody.
