Hip Hop moves forward. I think more people should be less mad at this and more happy that hip hop is STILL selling records and moving culture.
Granted this isn’t the era of the 90′s “X-Clan’s” and music with a message days….but this just a new chapter in hip hop and Lil Wayne and his releases (like it or not) are good for hip hop in that they carry on tradition of hip hop being the cornerstone of pop culture.

You cannot fool the soundscan computers like was done in the 90′s. Years ago we would have the street teams go around with the company credit cards and buy up a couple of hundred units at tower records and such but that practice at major labels has long since been stopped when file sharing started eating profits. The practice of half price, giveaways, etc. are the exact same tactic for every single album released in this country.
