Chic voice sucks, she doesn’t write or produce anything she sings, so what part of talent does she posses?
lol, you’re right, she doesn’t write or produce a lot of her tracks, however it takes talent to sing big records (how many #1’s does she have?) and perform on stage. if you can do it better, do it and see how many people come see you.

I agree with her having a great team. That’s what does it.
As an engineer and producer, I can tell you it easy to make people on her skill level sound good with a dope beat and mix. However, even with that help and disguise i’m like she has no outstanding skills for it to be said, “she has talent”

The term “talent” applies to more than just a signing voice. Rihanna is kinda like the Lil Wayne of RnB- not musically or artistically dynamic in really any sense, but wildly talented when it comes to keeping the masses entertained, which is really what the music industry is about today. I’m not saying that’s the way it should be, but hell, I can’t remember a time when the industry hasn’t been completely fucked anyway. Rihanna’s talent lies in her ability to play the game with the best of them.
Where was Calvin Harris on that song?
Anyway, despite not liking the direction that commercial music has taken, this was well done & will be a huge hit.

We’re not gonna redefine words to make things work for our opinion.
Talent is a skills, natural ability to do something. This all about singing as the statement is made.
Ok, so now what ability does she have when it comes to sining? Like I said, below average, or average after a good mixdown on the song.
With that said, does she have the ability to entertain? YES! I think you’re mistaken the ability to entertain vs. the ability to sing where it said often she’s a talented singer etc..
And not lets’ not forget much of what is presume her talent comes from a team of people (writers, producers, mixers, designers, Choreographers, and so on) putting in the actual work while she’s just “a presenter of the final package put together by the team”.
So what exactly does she do in what she presents? Only thing is the vocals of which she sucks at thus sucky or bad talent.
Now of course, that’s the way of the industry, but the context of my statement and concerns is that she has no talent while they claim she does.
Surely it’s my opinion, but it’s an opinion share most people, especially those with taste and sense of music.

Rihanna is hugely talented. She is a decent singer, but that is not particularly where her talent lies. Her highlighted talent lies in the realm of pop-sensibility, and she’s leaving most of her peers in the dust.
