It’s a stupid copout to say he’s being “diverse”. Tupac to some extent was a sellout, he did the studio gangster shit to get attention, at least the majority of his music was still fitting to what he was originally about. Can’t say the same for Wale.

I seriously think Hip-Hop fans are fickle as hell. Yes Wale did have a backpack image and it hasn’t changed since signing with MMG. He had a club record with Lil Wayne on The Mixtape About Nothing and No Hands was on More About Nothing. Just because you don’t like Rick Ross don’t say he’s altered Wale’s music in any way because he still put songs like Running Rebels on Self Made and the he had tracks like Passive Aggress-Her, Samples & Shit, and Underdog on Eleve One Eleven Theory. Just enjoy the music and stop looking for a reason to hate because he’s trying to become more successful when his career is concerned.
