Independent album debuting #1 on Billboard? Imagine if he was on a major. Over 100k is solid in general, but for an independent artist thats like gold first week to them. Good shit.

I like the way things going these days. All you need is a strong fan base and you’ll have solid sales. No need to sell out and go pop, put Alex Da kid on the boards with some generic pop star on the hook. Nope, just appeal to your core fans and they WILL buy your shit. Simple. Thats the way it should be.

    He’s white. He’ll sell.

  • kunta kente is an idiot

^ yeah explain asher roth then? wheres his sales?

  • Kunta Kente

Asher Roth had the #1 song on iTunes for like 3 months back in 2009. 2011 is the year of the wonder bread, miracle whip, rebel flag worshiping white trash. MGK, Yelawolf, Mac Miller… Crackers always have it easy.

  • Kunta Kente

Eminem signed Yelawolf, you don’t think his color had nothing to with it.
