’11 Disappointing Albums: #5 Wu-Tang Legendary Weapons

The Clan weren’t nuthin’ to fuck with back in the 90s but every time they join forces to release a subpar compilation like this it stains their legacy. Can a Shaolin collective stan get a proper follow-up to 2007′s 8 Diagrams? It’s been 5 years and recent work from Raekwon, Ghost and Meth prove that the talent is still there it just has to be honed in properly together. This rocky E1 release is laced with the familiar kung fu samples but each tune uneventfully bleeds into the next. No need for outside connects like Sean Price, AZ, and Action Bronson, I wanna hear the RZA connect with his brothers one more time. A final W for the Wu? I haven’t lost hope.

Ive lost hope for a good Wu album. They don’t all seem dedicated to really making a quality album, just use the name to push numbers.

  • THE BOSS

There new albums don’t seem good because times have changed and the south is in the house now

  • Rick Ross

    What a dusty album

  • Uh-oh

I never got to hear this album. Some said it was real good, but with this being a post by YN, the credibility isn’t quite reliable.

It wasn’t the best Wu album, but it still has some tracks. Seems YN holds different artists to different standards though. I guess that makes sense.

i can’t understand how its ‘disappointing album’…. the whole wutang crew can shit on any track, say whatever they like and it’ll still be better then 90% of faggots in game… maybe it’s not the best but it’s still good album. Wu-Tang is here forever, motherfuckers!!!

It’s not a WU album. It’s just a compilation album and a great one at that. However, I too am waiting for one last REAL Wu-Tang album… don’t know if we will ever see the day but thankfully they have left us with so many timeless classics.

    WU-TANG FOREVER

THIS POST IS IGNORANT. WHO GAVE YOU THIS JOB?

    ANY REAL HIPHOP CATS KNOW……

LEGENDARY WEAPONS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL WU-TANG ALBUM!!

its no more official than a mixtape..do your homework.

    - Killa Sin went Ballistic on that shit.
    - RZA & RAEKWON KILLED THAT “START THE SHOW”.

The “album” was like a 6.5/10, not great but not terrible. defiantly had some strong points worth mentioning.
