’11 Best Mixtapes: #9 L.E.P. Bogus Boys Now Or Neva
Wednesday, January 11 2012 11:00 AM EST | Posted by: B.Dot | Posted in: Album Reviews, BlogThe Bogus Boys gave the game an ultimatum with last year’s standout, Now Or Neva. The Chicago natives leave their calling cards on “Amerikkka’s Worst Nightmare” and “Claim My Shit”. They push their skills to the limit on “25TH Hour” and emit the same urgency with Meek Mill for “Rush Hour”. Their crown jewel though, comes from the Lupe Fiasco-assisted “Zombieland”. Anchored by J-Kits’ instrumentation, the Chicago natives deliver a cautionary tale served cold. “Better open up your eyes they’ll eat your ass alive.” That’s an appetite for destruction.

Disrespectful views at Tha Kang, T.I.? Nah, Ms. Banks you're out of line. Yeah Harris' Aussie ain't that dope but neither are you. I just saw you at Coachella and I wasn't impressed. You got the look, the swag, the tough talk but where are the tunes? "212" is alright but that's where it stops. According to Jay-Z's old board rules: You have no right to diss Tip. Look in the mirror and ask yourself: How many classic albums have you created? Are you on anyone's top 10 MCs list? Do you have any hardware on your walls, ma? Cliff is right. Keep him out of the girlfight. You're heavy in these tweets, but I hope you're finding time to create music that backs up your buzz. Or you'll soon be begone like Kreayshawn. You young ladies today bore me. *Turns up Mia X CD* No Limit forever!
The best things in life are free, but hopping on Hov's press conference stage uninvited is gon cost cha. Whatcha did was wrong! ⎯B.Dot
Bullshit,Bullshit,Bullshit!!
this is politics b/c u guys have a relationship w/ them they truly have no buzz and should be on no top ten list
They don’t have much of a buzz on the net but they do in the streets and its a good tape
@Yung Silv….everything in the world is politics, it’s just the hype that gets build up that we forget about the politics….as long as Dreamchasers and Return of Forever is on here i don’t care about much else.
It shoulda been higher!!! It was sum hot mixtapes out last year!!! But Dis was da only one I felt had sum soul 2 it!!! Chicago understand!!! This real Street muzic!!! Not no pop,or play gansta sh*t!!! They shoulda been 2 or 3!!! Yall slackin Joe!!!
This was a banging mixtape and them LEP boys been getting it in, yall bugging out. Videos alone they deserve some type of award/recognition.
Who?? This and all their music sounds like it WANTS to be 90′s NY, but it comes across as bland, rhymes and all. This was a total personal pick for RR. No buzz and no one talks about them…at all! Mixtape is average at best, doesn’t make me wanna check for them past it.
B dot gets extorted by count why wouldnt this be up there.
Dont Feed Da Killaz Vol 3 was much better, but these dudes are the truth. When everyones makin bitch music at least some new dudes stick to hard shit.
