And I guess your latest "Starships" will get you some Top 40 love like "Super Bass", but what a waste. I get it, you're more focused on becoming a pop icon like Madonna than a female G Rap in his prime. But boy do we miss the girl who murdered The Throne on that "Monster" tune. The Grammys haven’t had an official host in seven years. But this year they’ve named LL Cool J as this year’s MC. Whoever thought hip-hop would take it this far?! The 54th Grammy Awards will air February 12th at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
“I’m thrilled to be part of Music’s Biggest Night. I will always have fond memories of my first Grammys Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true.”

Shout out to LL. But fuck the Grammys. Kanye West’s MBDTF is the Album of The Year, yet it doesn’t even get a nomination. Sure, they gave Ye seven nominations, but Album of The Year is the one that counts. That’s like if the Oscars didn’t nominate Titanic for Best Film the year it came out. Last year the Grammy gave Album of The Year to Arcade Fire for their brilliant album The Suburbs. But people were mad because they didn’t know who Arcade Fire was. That shouldn’t matter because the album was great and deserved to win. But, this year, Kanye put out the best album artistically, plus it went platinum. Bruno Mars is cool, but his album is not art. Rihanna is cool, but her album is not art. Lady Gaga is cool, but that dance sound is played out (as Kanye rapped on So Appalled “People is going through real shit. Man, they outta work. / That’s why another goddamn dance track gotta hurt). Foo fighters deserve the nomination. Adele deserves the nomination. But still, MBDTF is better than Wasting Light and 21. Fuck the Grammys. I’m out.
