01. Rick Ross… i think this is a lock, he had a gigantic year, was featured on every song, killer singles, mixtape work, good lyrics, best beat selection
02. Jay-Z… hes Jay-Z
03. Eminem… didn’t put out a ton of material, but the shit he put out was crazy, sorta an andre 3000 year
04. Kanye West… kinda similar year to eminem
05. T.I…. came out of prison on FIRE, new music is bananas
06. Lil Wayne… down year but still productive, carter 4 was pretty disappointing but still better than alot of other efforts
07. Drake… maybe he should be higher on the list, but really as an MC he only had a handful of verses on the year

Wayne sales was the ONLY good thing about his year & The Throne …well they had the #1 hot track in hip hop 2011 with “N*ggas In Paris” sold out legendary tour that even the haters paid MAJOR $$$ to be at & dropped a solid platinum album to say the least.

He came and made HIS mark as a mogul & as an artist. Not only did he KILL, but his whole team KILLED! Meek Mill kills everything he touches & gave us one of 2011’s hottest hip hop tracks “I’m A Boss” all while Wale (whose currently sitting at #1 on Billboard for the 3rd straight week) went from no Billboard charters & selling 25,000 in a week, to selling a little over 200,000 in a week with several guest appearances and a handful of charting appearances on Billboard (including 2 top 10’s RIGHT NOW! off his own album). MMG is an INFANT company & stood tall in the mist of all these other companies..YMCMB included. they haven’t pushed close to what YMCMB has pushed …YET…but they are on 1 hell of a start & Ross should get top pick off of this alone.

Just know that The Throne, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Lil Wayne & Rick Ross will make up the top 5-6…. I don’t like Nicki’s newer music, but she is going to probably be in the top 3 based off the strength of what’s she did last year… I mean the chick collab with every one… on her 5th top 10 hot 100 on billboard, doing half-time at the Superbowl with MADONNA & probably will walk away with 1 or more Grammys this year off her FIRST album. Whose doing that? She toured with both Wayne AND Britney Spears. I feel like she’s getting watered down at this moment but she had one of the overall biggest singles of 2011 with “Superbass”. Drake came in at the last quarter with a quality smash album & a few hot guest appearances… while dropping a few HOT singles that is ridding threw the year & may be #1 by next week. Wayne sales was the ONLY good thing about his year & The Throne …well they had the #1 hot track in hip hop 2011 with “N*ggas In Paris” sold out legendary tour that even the haters paid MAJOR $$$ to be at & dropped a solid platinum album to say the least.
But Rick Ross….
He came and made HIS mark as a mogul & as an artist. Not only did he KILL, but his whole team KILLED! Meek Mill kills everything he touches & gave us one of 2011’s hottest hip hop tracks “I’m A Boss” all while Wale (whose currently sitting at #1 on Billboard for the 3rd straight week) went from no Billboard charters & selling 25,000 in a week, to selling a little over 200,000 in a week with several guest appearances and a handful of charting appearances on Billboard (including 2 top 10’s RIGHT NOW! off his own album). MMG is an INFANT company & stood tall in the mist of all these other companies..YMCMB included. they haven’t pushed close to what YMCMB has pushed …YET…but they are on 1 hell of a start & Ross should get top pick off of this alone.

-Canada Dry had a dope album, and 2 monster hits with I’m On One and Stay Schemin’, but nothing is bigger than WTT. It’s Ye, Jay, Ross and Aubrey for top 4.
-Wayne will only get a spot for that platinum shit, his line about Jay and being on I’m On One and Look At Me Now (Yes, he had a verse after Busta).
