During last night’s show in Portland, Lupe revealed he will not be releasing any more mixtapes. He then goes on to say Food & Liquor 2
Well, coming from a person that’s not really a fan of mixtapes, I really don’t care! I’m more of an album guy, I like quality.

Too many hustlers, not enough musicians. If you’re already established and still putting out tapes, you need to re-think things.
Come on. How long do you really listen to a mixtape? A week? A weekend? An album on the other hand last for a couple of months if not longer, so I’m cool with that.
As far as “Food & Liquor 2” goes… hopefully July.
He’ll put a “mixtape” after Atlantic rejects his album submission.

Rappers that limit themselves to mixtapes… LIMIT THEMSELVES! Whens the last time you heard a heavyweight in the game such as Eminem or Jay-Z release a mixtape? I just feel that an album is the real quality product! Now I would be lying if I said I didn’t check out mixtapes at all, I just don’t really care about mixtapes. If every rapper announced they’d never make a mixtape again, I really wouldn’t care at all… But keep in mind I never said I hated mixtapes, I just have a preference… stupid fxck. lol
