    Overhyped ass song

  13. Myke wayne says:

much better than I expected. Good shit

  14. Yessir says:

I dig it I just wish Dre didn’t have the artist whose record he’s featuring on ghostwrite the verse. He needs to have someone ghostwrite in a Dr Dre style instead of matching the exact flow of the artist he’s rhyming with. And produce the record. What are you even doing if you don’t write or produce? Still a good record, Kendrick is a great artist.

  15. http://www.myspace.com/onepercentfree says:

Nuthing like Dre day when you wake up in the morning.

Like the early day’s i just want to pull out the drum machine in the AM.

“I ride when you look outside it’s a beautiful day to ride with dre. 24/7”

  16. adrian says:

this is super cool. a ‘washin the car on saturday morning’ kinda vibe. if they make a good video it’ll be even harder. sidenote: it’s crazy how dre voice keeps changing over the years. i don’t mind it though

  17. static says:

dope track. sick beat and perfect rhyme scheme. dre make detox.

  18. WestCoast says:

  19. The Kingmaker says:

Please @rapradar3 commenters. Cut the MF crap. #therecipe is good.

  20. Jameel says:

big ups u cant fuck with a man dat is scinctific in wat he does. Xpect da xpection of da master pysion Dr Dre <3

  21. Donn says:

So its cool to have ghostwriters cus its Dr. DRE??? SMH. Kendrick is the man tho. But not everything he does is dope. These niggas vaginas get wet be4 they even press play. Calm down so u make proper assessment. Ur conditioning ur brain to like sunntin be4 u even heard it

  22. MDK says:

Sounds as though Kendrick wrote Dre’s verse.

  23. Supreme12oz says:

  26. Citylivin' says:

i’m tired of hearing old niggas on tracks wit new niggas..

  27. serisony says:

Damn, most of the comments here and really most comments these days are so cynical, hateful and bitter. It’s music, enjoy it or don’t. To label anything that a couple human beings created with love, passion and skill as mediocre, or to try to tear it down and take away from the positive energy surrounding it just doesn’t make any sense to me. Also what is it with anyone who enjoys a particular artist that suddenly makes them a “Stan”? I think it’s only because you don’t like the artist that makes you think anyone who shows an artist some love is a stan. This track sounded good to me, though I’ll probably play it for a few of my friends and never listen to it again. Replay value for most songs these days is poor.

  28. Drew Who says:

people love to hate. fuck offf

  29. Dr. Dre's Ass says:

maybe its too hard for Kendrick stans to swallow that his song with Dr. Dre was so mediocre

  30. HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA says:

, but their verses are pretty second rate.”

    second rate to, who?

    stfu B DOT

  31. True says:

Now I’m really convinced that B.Dot dislikes Kendrick. Y’all remember what he said about Cartoons and Cereal? I fucks with this on no dickriding shit, it’s not bad at all. Typical Kendrick.

  32. Dr. Dre's Ass says:

Ain’t Nothing Wrong With This Song…

    Look Mommy Grandpa Dre Rapping.!!

  33. BigAl says:

great song, great hook, good beat. I second what Adrian says about Saturday morning vibe.

  34. YOUNGSLAYA says:

People calm down… It’s just a single for the radio…. Plus it doesn’t sound cliche like all the other bullshit you here on the radio or see in the videos

  35. mac DIESEL says:

@ HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA @ True

YA’LL LEAVE B.DOT ALONE!!!! HIS OPINION COUNTS AND YOUR’S DON’T BECAUSE HE’S EMPLOYED BY A RAP WEBSITE AND HE WRITES ARTICLES IN RAP MAGAZINES!!!! HIS EARS ARE DIFFERENT FROM EVERYBODY ELSE!!!! SO HE KNOWS MUSIC AND WE DON’T!!!! THAT’S WHY HE CAN FORM AN OPINION ON MUSIC AND WE CAN’T!!!! HE HAS OPINIONS WE DON’T!!!! WE HATE!!!! WE’RE CONSIDERED HATERS IF WE DON’T LIKE A RECORD HE LIKES!!!! SO GO WORK AT A RAP WEBSITE AND WRITE RAP ARTICLES AND MAYBE THEN U CAN FORM AN OPINION ABOUT MUSIC!!!!

    ……HA!!!! RIGHT BRIAN??!!!

    DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!

  36. T.H says:

Kendrick and Dre its bumpin in the trunk here in Brazil .. #fosho

  37. Like all of Kendrick’s music you gotta LISTEN a few times to get it. Welcome to LA 82 degrees got my top peeled…… off.

  38. MillaRoofa says:

  39. In Your Fucking Face says:

    nigga fuck a B.Dot
    Bitch dot nigga

  42. JHP says:

This song was a little too boring from my taste, kind of mediocre. That is the problem with K. Dot’s music, it can be pretty boring at times, even though this nigga is a beast on the mic. Expected more from a Kendrick/Dre collaboration

  43. Chi Town says:

    Kendrick Lamar x Dr. Dre
    Instant classic!!!

  44. Protest says:

I respect flow. If you can flow on a track in an original way, I can fuck with it. I wont listen to this again prolly cuz its some west coast/cali anthem kinda shit, but the flows on this are crazy, and the beat knocks.. It’s a great track

  45. Word says:

This shit is chills. Good music. So, whats the next Kendrick Lamar project tho? They said its a single but…for his major album? Or still a street album like Section80? Or is another mixtape coming?

  46. IIG says:

This shit goes super duper hard.

  47. seems like a nice track smooth California vibe…women weed weather

  48. Pimp Squad Raw says:

I can smoke to this, ok Kendrick I see you

  49. […] Kendrick Lamar was on Big Boy’s Neighborhood and had Dr. Dre call in to assist him in premiering his new single ‘The Recipe’. They speak on the record and reveal that the track was previously titled ‘Women, Weed & Weather’. Finally, they talk about what their studio sessions were like and Dre says that being in the studio with Kendrick reminded him of his times with Eminem, 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg. Audio via RR. […]

  50. M.T says:

Thats one of the problems these days with hot upcoming lyrical rappers. Niggas hype everything up sooo much and put these unrealistic expectations on the artist. Also this is a SINGLE so if u were expecting some life changing verses, this isnt the song for u.

This song is dope and has a nice vibe. Im definitely checking for this album.

  51. Oledude says:

Kendrick Lamar Wrote Dre verse ha!

  52. @Word says:

His next project is the debut album on Interscope, called Good Kid In a Mad City.

    Kendrick > B.Dot

  53. lightskinnigga says:

Yawns but I see kendrick has alot of STANS that reads rap radar lol its ok a bit boring

  54. oakland73rd says:

  59. kelly zimmer says:

my buddy’s step-mother brought in $18061 last week. she has been working on the laptop and got a $540500 home. All she did was get fortunate and work up the instructions leaked on this site NUTTYRICHdotcom

  60. k1ngeljay says:

    B. Dot’s musical taste is just different. Nothing wrong with that.

That being said, I copped this off iTunes. Been banging the hell out of it.

    Pause.

    That is all.

  61. ColoradoKnight says:

This is the same B. Dot, who today, was cosigning Gunplay? SMh? What ever happened to non biased journalism? Ross Radar has not ONCE criticized a single MMG record. NOT ONCE?! This was a great record. May not be the club friendly, skinny jean wearing record that people want, but it’s Hip Hop at it’s finest. Ross Radar erks the ish out of me. Haven’t been visiting this as much because of it.

  62. BrokeAsBillGates says:

Beat and chorus is really good . Verses are average …

  63. BrokeAsBillGates says:

Ofcaurse , this is better than 90 % of MMG shit , 100 % of 2 chain shit , 100 % of Young Money and all other wack pop artists pretending to be rappers . skinny women jeans and your 7 year old daughter t-shirt ain’t HIP-HOP !!!

  64. slicksick says:

kendrick is all over dre’s verse! ghost-writing

  65. mel d cole says:

this is super sick! B. Dot is bugging re: the lyrics.

  66. realtalk says:

this is probably one of the most potent tracks so far this year. and probably the best dre appearance in a while.

  67. the great zeee says:

    Groceries.

  68. as says:

Not sure why people dislike this. It’s a perfect song for a lazy summer day (which are coming up). Contrary to popular belief, not only Kendrick fans enjoy this as I’ve not listened to much of anything of his and enjoy this. Not to mention, I gave up on Detox a LOOOONG time ago.

The production on this track is awesome, as well. Great summer song.

  69. WUWEAR says:

NOTHIN SPECIAL BUT WE COULD LISTEN TO DRE DESCRIBE THE LAST SHIT HE TOOK AND IT WOULD STILL BE MORE PLEASING TO THE EAR THAN ANY WHACK ASS NICKI MINAJ ALBUM

    I AM SERIOUS

  70. flo says:

if this song doesnt make you go crazy then somethings wrong with you.

    go somewhere else.

  71. pienman says:

  72. aaaaannnndddd...420! says:

will “The Recipe” be Kendrick’s “Black and Yellow” stay tuned. If so, expect a lot of news on Kendrick’s next project…

  73. aaaaannnndddd...420! says:

oh yea, another example Big Sean track ft. Chris Brown “My Last” marked his green light…
