Over the last couple days, Mary J. Bige has been the talk of the town due to her cringe-inducing Burger King commercial. In a statement released to TMZ she defends herself:
“I agreed to be a part of a fun and creative campaign that was supposed to feature a dream sequence. Unfortunately, that’s not what was happening in that clip. I understand my fans being upset by what they saw. But, if you’re a Mary fan, you have to know I would never allow an unfinished spot like the one you saw go out.”
She cashed that check though….

Im black and I dont get what the big deal is…Yes, we all know black people like chicken (im a vegetarian). that doesnt mean we have to get upset as an ethnicity and fuss over every time someones mentions “chicken” and “black people” in the same sentence. Stop giving them power over your emotions and the media attention because thats what they want. the end.
