This week, Nicki has been on a super promo run for her new album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. This morning, she took a stop by The Today Show on NBC and sat down with Matt Lauer as well as performed her single, “Starships”.

However, her album peaked at #1, went Platinum before Kanye’s and then progressed on to 3x Platinum. Its always a slow progress. Watch her pop songs shoot up the charts. Beez in da trap bout to be a hit too. YMCMB may not be typically lyrical as yall want them to be but they know how to make hits. check the resume.

Going three times platinum is good and all but catering to the masses equates to mediocrity. Interesting that being lyrical in an arena where everything you do is about LYRICS isn’t really what the people want or what you present first. Chomp on that.
