  1. I mean its good when singles go plat, but I’d rather be more concerned about my whole body of work reaching that feat.

  2. mrzee says:

then you should be really concerned because you have nothing platinum. ^

This is world music, every song on B.O.Bs album is a potential single so I can see a few more tracks going plat or gold in no time at all.

    CONGRATZ.

  3. ^is the negativity necessary? This is why its hard for the culture to move forward.

I didnt say it was a bad thing that the single went plat, im saying it would be better for the whole body of work. This song by itself can be one thing, but when you listen to the whole album and the song then come on, its in a different context. Its presented the way the artist wanted the song to be presented in. Isnt that why one would want to be called an “artist”?

  4. the void says:

^^^cant really consider songs made for white girls part of the “culture”. bob raps but i dont consider him a rapper. hes a pop act like nicki minaj. good for him tho. hes making some money. money rules everything. so anything for the money, right?

  5. BBGUN says:

Shit that was quick. Didnt that shit just come out.

  6. lilrizq says:

    congrads B.O.B.
    Soulja Boy at (2:32)

  7. Bob makes high school prom music…..

  8. @the void

whether its perceived as good or bad, its still part of the culture. He is more mainstream than urban, but if thats what he wants, let him be him, feel me?

My thing is if you make an album in a certain direction, then the results should show all over, not just a few pieces of it. Im glad he’s paid. No one should have to be broke in this economy and he’s doing it through non-violent and legal means, so good for him on that aspect. However, I’d work on making the whole project get the same results as the singles.

  9. mrzee says:

not being negative just stating it was an accomplishment because you basically said selling 1 mill in single was just meh, which is obviously not true. And it was a great body of work, 1 single went plat so for and singles sell quicker than albums these days. if i can sell 5 mill in singles and get a gold album in the long run i would feel extremely accomplished.

and yes this is main stream music but it is part of the culture.

  10. mac DIESEL says:

    CONGRATS TO B.O.B.!!!!

    …….THE MACHINE WINS AGAIN!!!!

    DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!

  11. Black Shady says:

never heard the song to be honest. probably another pop shit. I will check it out tho

    congrats

  12. M.T says:

Strange Clouds was surprisingly good with the exception of a few poppy/mainstream tracks. This was one of the more tolerable ones. This album was a better effort than his last despite not selling as much. Congrats.

  13. @mrzee

nah didnt say it was mehh. Im just saying whole projects should be pushed the same as singles and the results should even out. I still said it was good for him to get that platinum plaque.

  14. dodo says:

    agree w/ the void

  15. mrzee says:

    @niyemortal

oh ok, then i can agree with that. because it does suck when an album is so good no pun intended, and singles just go platinum….

  16. Jaymalls says:

The album was trash compared to his lackluster debut album. So Good is a dope pop song though… I was 1 of the million people who bought it! It’s sad that record labels force these artist to be more concerned about making top 40 pop singles then actually creating great music!

  17. Young lucci fan base says:

Grand hustle pimp!!! Successful solo artists! Movie on starz, tv show on vh1!! What’s next?

  18. F.I.V.E. says:

Fuck this singing ass nigga. We don’t need to add more Hip-Pop stains in the culture.
