Three weeks after the passing of Adam Yauch, Rolling Stone has posthumously given the Beastie Boys member the cover of their new issue. The tribute features stories from friends including, Spike Jonze, Rick Rubin, Billy Corgan and many more. Issue hits newsstands on May 25th.
The cover story includes the first interviews given by surviving Beasties Adam Horovitz and Mike Diamond, who address their grief and the question of what they will do now that their band is effectively over. “I’m totally confused,” says Horovitz. “I’m walking my dog and I’ll start crying on the street.”

Fuck Harvey Levin and anybody that loves his celebrity news website. First you prematurely pronounce the impending death of Lil Wayne (Weezy Forgives. We Don't.) and then you try to link the horrific actions of one of the Boston Marathon culprits to our culture? "DEAD BOMBING SUSPECT: HEAVY INTO HIP HOP" You don't say? It's 2013 and most kids are into rap music. We've been penetrated pop culture, you cock suckers. "What's interesting... hip-hop lyrics are notoriously violent and often degrading to women." So our music is at fault in this tragedy? Let's be clear the only bombs my culture cosigns is DJ Funkmaster Flex's sound effects. Thirty Mile Zone is prone to post anything to get traffic. Fuck dude and his coffee cup. Get you a Rap Radar cup and drink with us in the winner's circle.
Oh Miguel. Leg droppin your fans? You ain't Hulk Hogan and that wasn't part of the program. That's no way to treat the adoring ladies, brother.
dope
Respect.
Rest In Peace MCA. Truly heartbreaking. Just reading the excerpt from Adrock is saddening. Beastie Boys defined a generation. Hip Hop fans are forever grateful.
Too bad if your a subscriber you got the fucking Metallica cover
this is true…. i can’t imagine how they both feel as it relates to getting back in the studio…or even writing lyrics with MCA gone! the brotherhood these guys shared is still impactful even tho MCA is gone….
R.I.P.

I don’t know the last time I bought Rolling Stone, but I am def picking up a copy. Respect to the Beasties. They are without one of the best rap groups ever. Beats, rhymes, stage presence-just smooth as it gets. RIP MCA. As a white jewish kid growing up in the 80s, it was amazing to have these incredible 3 dudes representing us in the game.
