I have love for Nas. I was so happy to see Distant Relatives because only Nas could do that. But Nas shouldn’t do interviews like this. Nas is just Nas. Can you imagine Bob Marley doing an interview like this……Hell to the Naw! Interviews would be on his terms only, not a promo run to sell an album. IRS is an instrument of the devil.

  4. Cinsere says:

“Expletive, expletive, expletive, expletive, n-word, n-word…”

Yes, Soledad… that’s exactly how it is. A big clusterfuck of curses. smh

  5. Real Talk says:

What does the IRS have to do with Nas doing this interview? People take this IRS gossip too serious…if it was that major I’m sure Nas would have appeared in court by now or landed in jail. There are artists that has appeared in court & that have been incarcerated for less than the 6.5 million Nas allegedly owes. Why would Nas need this video/interview to help his career? Nas has been doing this for damn 2 decades, with 8 consecutive platinum albums & 3 gold albums to date.

I think people feed into the gossip about Nas’ career way too much. It’s sad that the bias gossip tends to overlook the facts/common sense.

….and yes Im talking about sales too

  18. dat dude says:

@Realtalk people talk about the Nas IRS SItuation because he is a fucking ROLE MODEL!!!! people look up to him esp kids, we here in the “normal” human life, pay our debts, we settle our differences, and we move on. we don’t hide and duck form our dutys. if we have a bill that we acquired we pay it, its only right. he’s basically went from ghetto life and changed the hustle, no growth at all there. thats why people talk about the IRS shit, look at a country singer, like taylor swift, u don’t see her ducking her taxes, look at travis barker of blink 182 u don’t see him ducking his taxes do u? nope didn’t think so. they take care of their responsibilities, these rappers get money and blow it on bullshit things, that are material and physical.

im not going to sit here and toss stones at him but him ducking his responsibilities has made me when he comes on the radio to change channels cause he’s bringing down this country and not living up to his position in society by doing that. all the gold records in the world wouldn’t matter when u do dickhead shit, does elvis have any tax bullshit that he ducked from? nope so thats what they talk about his talent and career, until Nas fixes this , that will be his spotlight.

and it was scum baggy for him to forget his daughters birthday in the song too, he blamed it on editors but thats crap..
