Reblogged this on Benjamin Turner and commented:
Crazy right? What are we representing as young people. When the old die, just who will inherit the world, and what will they do with it. The rhetoric in visual loosely matches the semi-anarchy of the lyrics, but it’s nothing we haven’t already seen. There are more and more “artists” selling out to an idea. The “Star” Wars indeed. And it seems as the dark side assembles. Somewhere out there a new wave of truth is beginning to stir and swell.
But on the shallow hype. Nice beat. Great chorus as far as catchiness goes, will definitely inspire a particular behavior. Mac Miller’s verse is surprisingly a little more thought provoking than I expected. Veggies disappointed me, as i was a fan of his latest tape. You should check out “gardens” by Veggies regardless. Joey’s flow was great, and I think he held his own on the song. Overall I think this will get remixed and made at an even higher caliber, but I put no bets on it. Stay Tuned!
