Meet, AG Da Coroner. After Lil Wayne’s NYC comment hit the net, the Brooklyn native recorded this new track produced by AraabMuzik. On an unrelated note, AG and Styles P need a collabo asap.

People who make comments about “why is everybody supposed to like new york?” are usually the people that come her on vacations with their families to look at the tall buildings and shop at Century 21 haha. It’s not an issue with everyone having to like new york, the overarching issue is the fact that people are tired of Lil Wayne and his bullshit. It’s just a place, and even if I’ve been to NYC to look at the tall buildings & shop at century 21 or w/e does not mean everybody is supposed to like there, it’s not heaven…it’s just another place. Yes Lil Gayne is a trashy ass rapper, but NY is not much better, aside from the majors, NY’s rap hasn’t been good since the 1990’s and probably never be good again.
LIl Wayne can say he doesn’t like NY, but he must respect the city that birthed the culture that made him and his crew multi-millionaires. I’m from the Bronx and I don’t care how these out of town cats feel about the city. Hip Hop is global and has generated billions and created opportunities for people all over the world.
Jazz is another African American art form created in New Orleans over 100 years ago. What if one Jazz’ most popular artist not from New Orleans, such as Miles Davis said ,”I don’t like New Orleans”?
He would be entitled to that opinion, but you would be curious as to why one of the world’s most renowned Jazz trumpeters dislikes the city that birthed the music he loves. I’m not saying Wayne isn’ t entitled to his views, but realize the world and his life would be very different if New York didn’t exist and create Hip Hop culture. Like and respect are two different animals. As a native New Yorker, I could give a fuck what anyone thinks about my city, I love NY for all the good and bad contained within. Even though I no longer live in NY, I love when I get a chance visit and run the five boroughs. As I was taught growing up, “you ain’t gotta like me, but you not gonna disrespect me”.
That is what you see with the response songs from AG Da Coroner and Donny Goines, who on both of their songs made a point of saying that they loved New Orleans, but they don’t fuck with Wayne.
