    Yes

  2. floridaboy says:

HE HAS THE MOST CLASSIC UNDERRATED ALBUMS EVER BACK IN EARLY 2000′s… u no thts true

  3. RD says:

Elliott you just have to say something about everything these days.. don’t you?

  4. dave says:

Hell yeaWA laud wana be Justin beiberbut he too old

  5. Je5us Piece says:

luda used to be one of the best back in day but the last few years he really fell off making this bubble gum bullshit…he needs to collab with some better producers and rappers

  6. Mokh says:

shut up ya bish. a guy who says that “vol2… hard knock life” is jay’s best album and goes to twitter to call himself the goat of rap blogs or some shit like that should be comletely irrelevant as a tastemaker.
u should shut ur mouth boy cuz it’s full of crap!

  7. 7thEmerson says:

Before even watching the video, I can say hell yes he lost his way.

  8. Peekay says:

I think he should take a break from acting and focus more on music.

  9. CBH says:

Has Rap Radar lost their way?

  10. Devante says:

Rappers need to stop worrying about trynna to sell records at a certain point in their career…. Take the Styles P route, he took all the money he could from the majors when he was hot and invested it in others sources to make an income. Now he’s indie living pressure free making the music he and his fans love…

  11. Word says:

I think Luda still has the potential to be a 100k first week rap artist. He’s in the same boat as Fabolous in my opinion. Luda has the versatility in my opinion to rap on any kind of record.

But the answer to the question? Yes, he has lost his way. Dunno if he wants to be pop or make rap. He’s like Nelly, Bow Wow, all these guys. I just think he should stick to acting and his other business ventures, drop a verse on a club banger once in awhile, maybe a pop hit once in awhile, but just do acting and other shit. If he were to drop an album, I have no clue what itd sound like. Luda use to have his own sound, but I dont know what it is anymore. And apparently, he doesnt either.

  12. ROZAYS LEFT TIT says:

ludas last good album was theater of mind i think after that dude sounded like he just wanted to fit in with the rest of the pop industry to keep relevant

  13. robb maxx says:

haha u just realized this 0__0
and u call urself a BLOGGER
    GOOD DAY SIR..
    I SAID GOOD DAY!!!!

  14. lick da kat says:

i agree. he not wut we use 2

  15. Lil Majer The Cartune says:

Now I’m not gonna sit here and say this cause I’m a huge Luda fan, but I don’t think he’s losing his way at all, he isn’t doing anything more or anything less than any vet in the game is doing now! Eminem, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, T.I., Kanye West… These are all great artists still, but none of these artists are getting better and better as the days go by and that’s including Ludacris!

Sure Luda has put out some mediocre singles for Ludaversal but you can’t knock a man off of three measly songs! He’s put out one of the dopest mixtapes out of 2011 which really brought him back to his original essence, he still outshines any rapper he’s on a song with and is the definite highlight (“Candy Paint & Gold Teeth”, “Same Damn Time (Remix)” and “Country S*** (Remix)” can be used as examples), and he’s stayed relevant and successful throughout his entire career, he has yet to make a album that was just a total flop!

With that said, I may just have to agree with Je5us Piece as far as the part where he needs to collab with better artist and producers, cause so far I can admit that his only highlights in music are his features on songs. But team this guy up with Kanye, Eminem, T.I., OutKast, Organized Noize, Timbaland, Pharrell, KiD CuDi, and a few selected others and he’ll be unstoppable!

Top 5 in the game the last decade
    1. Eminem
    2. Jay-Z
    3. Kanye West
    4. Ludacris
    5. T.I.

Top 5 to ever do it
    1. 2Pac
    2. B.I.G.
    3. Eminem
    4. Jay-Z
    5. Nas

  16. #RTAffiliate says:

Damn I’d hate to admit it but it’s true. Luda done lost his individuality that stamped him a beast in making good cuts.

  17. kareem says:

I wonder if Elliott is worried that the casual watcher is gonna see that this is on Jay’s channel and that Jay himself shares these sentiments as well

  18. Leanin' says:

Rappers that foray into Acting ALWAYS FALL OFF! cause Acting takes them out of their Regular Routine that made them a Hungry Rapper! Craft Service will fuck a nigga up!! LMAO!!!

  19. brollya says:

a u right elliot…. des couple of songs i been hearing from dude been gettin me mad…..

  20. Crazy says:

Elliott Wilson seems to have way too much time on his hands

  21. PolarBearsToenails says:

It’s the same thing Elliott was talking about with the LL and Fat Joe records. These older dudes in the game don’t really have any pull with the young generation that’s buying records now, so they go make these bullshit records to try and get some airplay.

I like what T.I. is doing right now. He had fallen off after he did his bid but now he’s coming back with that same sound that he made his name on.

Other than that bullshit “Ball” song with Lil’ Wayne, he’s staying true to himself, and that’s gonna pay off more for him in the long run instead of tarnishing himself by reaching like Luda, Fat Joe, etc…

  22. wons says:

    Ludacris has always been WACK
    his last album Flopped
    this album will Flop also
he need to hang it up

  23. Dodo says:

Major fell off. Stop rapping. Stop acting.

    Should retire.

  24. Ash Ketchum says:

I been telling niggas for years Ludacris is ass and OVERRATED.

    Most OVERRATED Rappers
    Ludacris,Lil Wayne,Nicki Minaj,Nas.

Nas is the only rapper I have ever seen to never evolve as an artist

  25. London says:

Of course.a song with fucking bieber?damn

  26. Exile says:

I didn’t buy the last LP and this one won’t get purchased either. Luda is dope but its time to hang up the mike. It happens to the best of them. Big Daddy Kane,Redman,T.I. Gucci, Fat Joe etc.

  27. realwickwickwack says:

lyrical guy with nothing to say …thats his resumé

Luda had some hits but he never grew up …was kinda funny how respectul this video was done ,i remember the eve,fat joe,ll cool j review .Luda fits in there

  28. Black Shady says:

    Luda is lost seriously

  29. touchNwho says:

Yes luda has lost his way, especially compared to the early stages of his career, in my opinion his last great album was the “chicken & beer” with the ‘stand up’ single Elliot mentioned. He still has the potential, he hasnt completely fell off, but lost his way is definitely the right words, kinda the same for T.I. except he has a better chance selling good numbers on first week with “Trouble man”

  30. Throne says:

Elliot is real for this, this “The Truth” series is starting to grown on me. Keep the episodes coming

  31. L'Aiguille says:

    Yes !
Video : Neyo talks about the making of Fab’s Make me Better http://leblacketlaplume.com/2012/11/13/video-ne-yo-interview/

  32. Kemosabi says:

I was so happy to see this post today cause yesterday I seen that terrible wack ass David Guetta collab he has. That shit is terrible, if I would have closed my eyes I’d thought it was a Flo Rida video. For someone so lyrical and able he shit the bed on his career. He came close to a great album,he had a few good ones but no classic and that’s some of the problem to IMO.

  33. touchNwho says:

@kareem did you say Jay shares these sentiments? BOY STOP, Jay hasnt done anything but features this year and hes stil more relevant than all these new here today, gone tommorrow rappers

  34. IamRealTalk (GFID #2xPLATINUM - Rap Career Slow Up...Show Ya D!ck or Get a Reality Show) ( Undastand Meh? Understand Meh? If Bloggin Was a Category Id Win a Grammy !! ) says:

lol i said luda fell off some posta ago u need to give me credit so has ti jimjones m bleek freeway 50 banks game …..

  35. Ridge says:

I think these “Truth” segments have jumped the shark. Ha! Seriously though there kinda lame.

  36. KingJuggaNott says:

Hell yea he lost is way. It just doesn’t seem like he’s grinding anymore–plus you gotta stay ahead and push the Genre forward and not blend in with what is going on. Luda never really pushed it forward but he has always been a dope emcee. I feel he needs to just go back to just being a dope emcee–all a dope emcee needs is a banging track to go ham on. Seems like he’s searching/reaching for some sort of radio hit.

  37. ayyeee says:

Just because he released a pop single you gonna start criticizing luda… smh Elliot! Start judging when u can rap better than him but until then suck a dick you crusty troll looking muthafucka

  38. Jay says:

Like K.dot said THE JIG IS UP
Yeah he falling far from where he used to be. Proves that longevity in this game is hard and Jay-z is beating all odds. People want either REAL RAPS OR THAT Gun clapping.

  39. BigBoi says:

its not only just Luda from Kanye to Wayne to Eminem they all lost their way but even though Eminem has a strong flock of sheep fans its still working out for him. but i wish they could bring their oldselves back

  40. M.T says:

Luda is done. It’s a shame too cuz i was just listening to Word of Mouf and thinking damn this dude fell off. I had hope for him but after his last single, its pretty clear that he would rather try to make pop hits than make good music anymore. smh

  41. DJ Semtex's Prothsetic says:

dont really agree, i think luda out of everyone is one of the most consistent rappers, representin sounds fine to me, dont think YN’s critique of that was all too accurate. Because after representin YN said he wanted something more current, so he makes an EDM record and even that doesnt make him happy. I think he could add more of his personal identity on some of his tracks but i dont think hes completely “lost his way”

  42. casper21 says:

someone made a good point above, the man is fixed financially for the rest of his life, he could tour off his catalogue if he wanted to. Stick to acting and your other business ventures for the big money. In terms of putting out music, you’ve proven yourself a half dozen times over the last decade, stop trying to cater to the masses. Get with some real producers and make and release some better, stronger material on the indie scene, fuck the majors luda, you been there done that, no need for that anymore.

  43. Yeezus Christ says:

Yes he did all of his old albums are amazing tho

  44. BBGUN says:

Yes he has, but the bigger question is why does Elliott hate on the south so much? When has he ever dissed a rapper from New York? You could say the same thing about fab, banks, 50, fat joe and busta.

  45. HK says:

Yes he has. He’s too rich. Gotta fine ass doctor for a GF soooo he ain’t in no strip-clubs no more. When these guys get doe, travel, get more exposed to the world it seems like it’s hard to keep that street edge.

  46. Playboy69 says:

Yeah! Luda has FELL OFF it’s 2012 not 2000″s….The South Movement has FELL OFF!…The West Coast Hip-Hop is BACK..

  47. phil says:

yes luda has fallin off……yes t i has fallin off……..yes wayne has also lost it a lil..game been fell off..2013 there will be a new wave of rappers to win..elliot how come you never speak on east coast artist? Busta is done..fat joe been done and is reaching..LL been over for yrs..come elliot keep it 1000 nobody on the east is working…talk about asap and how his buzz died over the summer keep this shit balanced if your gonna do it…

  48. Justin TIme says:

I hate to admit but I think Luda has lost hos way. I love dude music but lately it’s been really lackluster. I always viewed him as Busta Rhymes type dude. Versatile, funny, got flows, but at least Busta can hop on joints and still kill it (ie; Look At Me Now). Luda need some cameos and just flow
