Gimmicks only last so long and unlike Nicki, Lady Gaga has true talent and her image is not forced like Nicki’s is. I don’t understand how YN say Gaga is faltering when her album sold over a mil in the first week.

Nicki cannot go back to hiphop now that she has fully sold out, and that pop lane only last so long.
I’m not surprised her new album has low sales numbers. She essentially tried to sell the same album 3 times. It’s one thing to remix a song; it’s another to remix an entire album.
Maybe she can bounce back with a new full album… maybe. It just seems that she got so wrapped up in all this other stuff (movies, TV, a fragrance, product endorsements, etc) that she forgot who brought her to the ball.
Only problem I have with Nicki Minaj is that she gets credit for being an Hip-hop artist when most of her music is pop, I feel that she takes away hop-hop awards from artist like J. Cole and Kendrick who really deserves these awards. I think she is fading a little because people are tired of her antics. I do like mixtape Nicki. I think straight pop is not her best lane, I think that she makes better music when she has a mixture of pop and r&b together

Her verses on the re-up are wack. Every single one. She needs to work with some more creative people that aren’t bowing down to her. She’s not hip hop imo and drop this Pink Friday shit already…it was only clever the first time around.
I get this feeling from this installment of ‘The Truth’ and the last one about Lil Wayne that YN sets out to make these bold statements, gets intimidated by potential responses midway through the video and kind of backpeddles his way to the “conclusion.” And the conclusions are always way too NICE – it’s like YN wants to make these criticisms without shattering anyones self-esteem in the process. I like the idea of these segments as an audio/visual version of the “Blackout” sidebar panel, but these last two videos seem a bit like Wayne and Nicki paid Elliott to say, “He/she’s still cool, you guys! Don’t worry about it!”
As for Nicki — her pop music, cosutumes and whatever else wouldn’t bother me half as much if she was even the LEAST bit humble and if it seemed like there was even ONE genuine bone in her body. I understand the idea of wanting to appeal to multiple demographics. I get that. But she seems SO ENTITLED and SO FAKE that when Rosenberg bitches her out at her own headlining event, you can’t feel sorry for her at all.
