The Underground Kingz were inducted today into the Museum of the Gulf Coast Music Hall of Fame in their native, Port Arthur, TX. The ceremony was two days before the 5th anniversary of Pimp C’s death. Bun B and his family as well as Pimp C’s mother were on hand to accept the honor:
“We’re one and the same,” Bun said of his relationship to the city. “It is very hard to separate me from Port Arthur and Port Arthur from me and that’s a good thing.”
“Chad loved Port Arthur so much,” said his mother, Weslyn “Mama Wes” Monroe. “This is a tremendous thing today.”
