No doggie. You want me to direct traffic to your product. But here are my thoughts. I’ve heard the chorus to rack city, and know that a gang of “rappers” have been on the remixes.
I know that this is how hip-hop works now. You don’t have to like the work that someone does. If V-Nasty had a hit song the same people would be on the remix. When hip-hop was being made for the community that you belonged to, and I don’t mean exclusively, but at least part of it was meant to be consumed by the community you belonged to, it had a certain authenticity.
Those days are gone. I’m just glad that I know the difference. I’m glad that I don’t need to eat off of hip-hop because I would have to play by these rules as well.
The real question you should be asking is not whether Tyga will survive. But what will happen to a culture that doesn’t value authenticity. It may grow and become a big “success”, a bloated pig. But it will continue to spread disease and pollution.
