Kid Ink Signs To RCA Records

Hard works pays off and today it was announced that the rising star from L.A. officially let the ink dry over at RCA Records. Congrats! Says the Kid:

“We achieved so much last year independently but we just felt it was time to team up with a major in 2013 to take it to the next level and RCA is as excited as we are about the vision and possibilities.”

The SVP of A&R and Marketing J. Grand adds:

“I’m ecstatic to have someone as multi-talented as Kid Ink, along with the backing of Tha Alumni team with us at RCA Records. We see him not just as an emerging domestic star but as someone whose music and entrepreneurship is already developing a global presence.”

Below is the official release of his single “Bad Ass” now featuring Wale and Meek Mill and originally off his recent release, Rocketshipshawty .

    im happy for him..but at the same time i dont see him making it “mainstream”. hes just not original enough: tatted every where is getting old, hes not great lyrically, and smoker songs are starting to get old too. hes gona have to switch it up.

    He’s had a handful of songs on these mixtapes over the last while that I thought would be hits if they had the major label machine behind them. But I don’t get that star presence from Kid Ink.
